Female, 5'10", 220 lbs. Looking to lose 70 lbs! Anyone with similar stats?

Welcome! I'm pretty new too and still trying to perfect what works and what doesn't! I'm 5'10" and currently 218, hoping to reach 150. I had my metabolism checked and based on that I'm eating 1600 calories daily, eating a protein and carb with each meal, plenty of fruit, not a big veggie fan but eating what I can, drinking tons of water, and exercising(both cardio and weights) 5x per week.  I'm trying to watch my salt intake but a girls got to have something to look forward to! I didn't see much in the way of results for the first three weeks but its finally starting to show.  I'm down almost 3 lbs from last week and we'll see what Monday's weigh in brings! Good luck!

I'm 5 9.5 and 240lbs. I started CC at 264. I have PCOS, Diabetes (early stages) and dealing with hypothyroidism as well. I love The Firm work out videos and I am seeing a nice reduction in inches although the weight will not melt off the way I would like.

Monday weigh ins are great for me as I weigh myself on Sundays. Looking forward to hanging out with ladies in my height/weight range.

Tough week.  Out of town business trip just killed me, between dinners out and only working out once - not pretty.  Here goes:

I didn't lose, but I didn't gain.  Total weight loss for 3 weeks is 6 lbs, so I'm on track.  I'll hope for a couple pound loss in the next week.

I'm down 2 lbs with .5 inches off of my waist and 2 inches off my hips. I've kicked up my exercise goals so I'm hoping to see better results next week.

Is there room for 1 more?  I've been logging my food and exercise for a month or so but I haven't ventured into the forums.  I live in Tucson if there is anyone in the area.

I'm 41, and have some similar stats:

Current Weight 227.5

Absolutely and welcome! Congrats on the weight loss to date.  Looks like you are well on your waySmile. It's been really nice to have other people to encourage you, to vent to, and in general just to talk to about the weight loss journey.  Good luck!

I'm 22, 5'10 and fluctuating between 240 and 235.  I started about a month ago and unfortunately did a very low calorie diet, lost about 5 pounds but haven't lost anything since.  Its been about 2 weeks I've been exercising regularly and trying not to go over 1600 calories, haven't lost anything but gonna stick with it =P  I hate everyone telling me "you COULD be a model, you have the height and face you just need to lose weight!"  Yah thanks for that.

Ahhh, it's late Monday night - first chance I've had at the computer:

SW on March 3rd = 212.5

Weight last Monday =192.5

Today CW=191.0 (-1.5 pounds)

Total pounds lost to date =21.5

Still a long way to go, though. Gosh I've been lurking around reading other posts for women about my height and there are so many out there on CC who are around 125 or so and just wanting to lose 5 pounds. Yikes, what's that aobut? I haven't weighed 125 since the 6th grade probably! I can't even imagine it at 5'8". I feel like I look better with the 20 pounds I've lost than I've looked in a long time. I'd still like to end up somewhere around 150; hope that's realistic. Gotta' lose the muffin top!

I finally got under the 200's, just barely, but still, yeah! Must have lost my water weight from last week. Made it a smidge past the half way point. I think I did better this week because I've been trying to eat healthy too, before I was only counting calories, but not eating totally healthy. I'm glad I have my mom, she is super supportive and started eating healthy which made me want to eat better too.  Hope next week is as good, going to try to stay eating healthy food and snacks. Anyway, congrats to everyone this week.

Hi . I just got down to 198 lbs. I was 229 recently. I personlly started asking my doctor about weight loss kits and he told me about a real good one that was much cheaper in price compared to the leading ones out there. I guess some of us have problems counting calories and worrying about what to eat. I ended up trying it out and I'm pretty glad I did. I only looked into pre done meals lijke these because my doctor told me it was ok as long as the foods were real. lol. I got mine at a great price. www.PureFatBurning.com is where I got my wonderslim kits. It saved me so far. Lisa

Missed yesterday's weigh in; out of town, so I did it this morning. Pleasantly surprised since I was traveling this week and didn't exercise but once. I'm looking forward to getting back into my exercise routine this week now that I'm home.

cmommi76- you continue to amaze me! I apologize if I've asked this before but how many calories are you consuming each day? And what does a typical day of eating/exercise look like for you?  I am still struggling with losing even a couple of pounds....

Well, I had a good workout and feel really great today.  My scale was also kind to me, here is my checkin info:

SW-  258 (Jan 08)

CW - 226 

GW - 160's

So far I'm down about 2 lbs this week. 

 

I am 5'8", 226 lbs.

Start weight 262 in July 2006 went down to 224 in Dec 2006, went away for a while, went up to 241, started again end of February 2008 down to 226.

Motivation and accountablility really are key. I weigh on Fridays. My pattern is 2 weeks no weight loss, 2 weeks good weight loss, and so on. I'd like to break this cycle, but can't figure out how.

First goal 217 lb by end of June.
