I'm now 233, 5'10", 55 years old, GW 170

I wonder if GW needs to be lower?

What do you think?

I think it's a personal preference.  If you feel good and look good at 170, great!  A lot depends on your build too.  Are you broad and muscular or narrow and more petite?  I'm 5'10" also and am aiming for around 150.  That's where I've been most comfortable in the past.  After having kids though, who even knows if that is possible:)

Just signed up today!

I'm 19, 5'6.5''. I would also like to join this group if you'll have me! How does all this work?

Thanks Alot. I'll check out those websites and see if it's something I can deal with.

ohhh i want to join

I decided to start a new healthy lifestyle today,

I'm 5'11

CW:260 (i think... im going to buy a scale today)

GW:160

It's good to have goals, but it is unrealistic to lose that much so fast.

When I was in my early 20's I weight about 125-128 and was actually on the skinny side.

In my late 20's I weighted in the mid-150's and looked good, felt good.

Unfortunately I had no idea about sound nutrition and was surrounded by overweight in-laws, so all I learned was more bad food habits.

When I got to 284 I felt lousy, looked fat and realized that I couldn't go on like that any longer.

Now I feel like I am on the right path and am feeling much better, both physically and emotionally

I would love to have someone help me stay motivated!  I am 5'9 and weigh 195.  I am not happy with how I look and I would like to get down to 150 by November in time for my cruise!  I would like to have someone who is in the same boat as myself, and could bounce off eachother!

No weight lost for me this week.  I'm still at 205.5  Hopefully, next week will be better.

Hello Ladies,

Last weigh in : 229 lbs.

This week: 227

Down 2 lbs. This is good for me considering all the Barbeque food and Alchohol I have consumed in the last 2 weeks. I tried my best not to fall off track to much. I'm back to my regular routine and I'm ready to start dropping pounds again.

Good Luck to all and keep up the good work

Hey, I'm around the same...

I'm 26 (today!!:)

5'3

SW: 208-210 ish (i fluctuate)

GW: 140

So i've got 70 lbs to lose!

I really don't know if my GW is too low though... I can't remember the last time i was anywhere near that weight...LOL  Also, I'd like to loose the weight by next year because I'm planning on becoming pregnant sometime next summer/fall. SOooo, i guess if I keep the GW lower and then gain 25 lbs w/ pregnancy I won't be horribly upset with my body again, ya know?  I just want to be healthy and not have to cry when putting on clothes that "fit last year" or going shopping...

Hi!

I'm 6 foot...currently 219 pounds and hoping to lose 50.

It's nice to see other tall women on here...I always find it hard to diet with friends as they are all so short and I can't really compare weights! Or normal, I suppose...I'm just really tall!

Here I am again with no weight lost or gained. I have been hovering between 231-235 for 3 weeks now. I can see that I am gaining muscle under my layer of fat and I keep waffling between pride in my progress and despair in the extra loose poofiness I have over my lats, stomach and thighs.

I call these areas my fat refugee camps and I can't wait until they are a thing of the past.

Here's wishing a successful week to you all.

Purification is obviously working for me!  Since I've started the number on the scale has consistently gone down!  It's been the hardest yet most rewarding thing I have ever done.  I can't wait to see what happens at the end.  The Dr. will provide me with a diet/exercise plan customized to my body.  If that works as well as this has, I will reach my goal weight in no time at allLaughing

Only 1 week left of purification and so far I'm down somewhere around 15 lbs! Nothing has worked so well for me as this has and I can only hope the success continues beyond purification.  I rarely have cravings for sweets anymore which is awesome:)  Good luck to everyone else this week!

My plateau seems to have broken late last week and I'm hoping that I can continue with my fitness journey for a while before I see another.

I hope everyone has a very successful week.

I thought yesterday was Tuesday and weighed in early. =) The scale was very encouraging to me this morning and I am down another 2 lbs which makes my weekly weigh in number......228!

SW: 264

LW: 232

CW: 228

I am going to stay away from the scale on Monday's since I tend to eat out more on the weekends and I think it's the sodium that has my weight up a bit on Monday's.

Thank you all for listening.
