female related question

Does anyone get mild cramps mid-cycle when they are starting to ovulate?  I've heard of that happening before, but it has NEVER happened to me until I recovered from an eating disorder & gained a healthy amount of weight.  It isn't a horrendous amout of pain such as when it's my time-of-the-month, but it is just annoying.  Is it normal to feel pains when the egg is released & going down the chute?  Just curious!

This happened to me EVERY month before I started birth control. I would even have some spotting during ovulation. I asked my dr. about it and he said it could be the beginning of endometriosis.

But- since being on birth control , I do not ovulate, and do not feel the pain!

I think you are ok, but if you are worried, I would ask your dr. about it!!

It's normal.  Happened to me all the time before I went on BC.

okay, I figured it was normal--it's just so freakin' annoying though!  As if we women don't have to put up with enough pain during that time-of-the-month & then we ALSO get cramping when we ovulate.  *sigh*
