Hello ladies,
It has been a few weeks since I have posted partly because I have had family in town and partly because I haven't been doing good. I really want to loose weight and I have all the good intentions in the world like when I get home I am going to go walk around the pond in our community or I am going to do my biggest loser workout but I end up going home and not doing any of it. Sorry for the venting I just am disappointed in myself right now. I guess I need to see today as day one and go from here. I haven't got on the scale in a while so I don't know what my weight is but I know I haven't gone down any. I will try to make myself get on this week sometime. Again sorry about this post just had to let it out.![]()
We had alot of festivals in my area this weekend. We took the kids to them all. I did alot of walking, just did not see the scale move a whole lot. It must be the salty peanuts I ate. Today I'm drinking alot more water. Hope to see better numbers in a few days.
Jpetty- Don't Give Up! Maybe it would be a good idea to get on that scale and see your numbers. That way it may motivate you to get back on track. (If you went up) It did me! I'm eating alot better foods. More fruit and vegs. I had to adjust my eating for long term success. Baby steps... God Luck   ; Lisa ^j^

so last week i was 241 and now i am 240 . Yay, so one pound. my cousin's wedding is in less than two weeks, and at this point i just want to be 230-something (I'll take 239) : )
so far i have two votes for the striped grey dress :)

Congrats to everyone who lost weight. To those struggling..just keep at it. We are all in this together. Remember one pound at a time and one day at a time, we can take it off.

Well I did not make my mini goal of 219! I'm at 221.6. I'm going to keep trying. My next goal is 215 by Thanksgiving.
I have been reading this book called " The Complete Idiot's Guide to Losing Weight. I come to the page with calories burned by activity per minute. So it says 180 lb person burns 9.7 calories per minute when walking. The CC tools tell me I only burn 167 calories per 30 min walk. So who is right? I'm guessing I burn 11 calories per minute 221 lbs. So a 30 min work out would be 330 calories. Sitting quietly burns 1.7 cals for 180 lb person. I will list a few activities, this is for a 180 lb person... add .8 for each 20 more pounds you weigh.
Okay 180 person burns this for one minute.
Running 17.0 cals Walking 9.7 cals &n bsp; Skating 8.8 cals
Jogging 13.9 cals swimming moderate 11.6 cals Cycling 8.2 cals
Weight Training 9.8 cals Dancing aerobic 11.1 cals.
What do you think? Does this sound right? Info from the American Council on Exercise, Fit Facts..
I am really glad that I joined this group. It has held me accountable for checking my progress every Monday and so far has been really beneficial! I posted a new progress picture in my gallery. This was such a busy week, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Halloween. I added a kickboxing routine to my exercise program this week. I really didn't think it was difficult. I have been doing tae bo and that is a serious workout!lol Well, needless to say it didn't seem like a tough workout, but a day later my legs hurt sooo bad! I was unable to exercise for two days. I loved the work out, but now i'm nervous to do it again this week. I am not sure how some people crave that super sore feeling from over exertion.
On to my stats for this week:
Age 25 Height 5'8 SW 230 LW 188 CW 187
That leaves me with a pound of weight loss. I would have been much happier with 2, but 1 is definitely better than none! Good Luck to everyone, wishing you all a "low number"!

I finally got on the scale and it isn't good. But I am back to trying and I can only go from here. My start weight this time was 260 and now I am 263 but that isn't as bad as I thought.

354lbs means that I have lost a total of 52lbs since July of this year!!! I'm so excited to have finally broken the 50lbs lost mark.
I hope you all are doing great today and this week! I'm hoping for a few more lbs lost before Thanksgiving so I don't feel guilty about tucking in to all that delicious food:-)

Okay i forgot to weigh in--i am 239.6...lol i'll take it since technically it's below 240. My cousin's wedding is on saturday. based on the responses i've had from you guys about my two dresses, i think i am going to wear the striped dress yay : ) .
I've talked before about Joe, the guy at my gym who is very encouraging to me and friendly. Well, last night my friends were going to a bar in town called the Bayou. Come to find out he lives right by there and I invited him to meet up with us there. He said he didn't know if he could make it but to call him and then he gave me his number! I was so excited! He's super cute and funny and frankly I like him.
I don't know if it will go anywhere but it was a good boost to my self-confidence!
