I gained this week, I was actually at 240 about 4 days ago, and lost 2.6lbs.
But yeah, blah!

Greetings! Can I join your group?
I've been hanging around some other threads with various ages, but you girls are all just like me. It really helps me to talk with and see pictures of people my age, my size, who know what my life is like being this big. I've been overweight my entire life, and this is the first time I've ever lost any weight. I'm finally getting to go through old clothes that I saved, thinking "Someday, when I lose this weight, I can wear you again" and finding that they do fit!
I'm at 238 pounds right now, down from 270 when I started CC (April 2007). My 22nd birthday is in a couple of weeks. I'm wearing size 20s right now, and starting to squeeze into 18s. On a personal note, I just got married last month.
I hope it's ok to jump in now - do you have weigh-ins on certain days in this group?
I'm sorry I havent posted in a week. I have some good news! I'm starting a job with the state that I live in. My first day will be on the 16th. I have so many thoughts running through my head. I havent worked in 7 years.. Ouch I know! Well this week I'm at 222 even. I gained .6 I have been so busy this week. I have been eating alot of candy. The good thing is that I didnt gain a whole lot of weight back. I have been doing alot of house work inside and out. Trying to prepare my self for getting back in the work force. I have been a stay at home mom for 7 years... Wish me luck. I will try and check in from time to time.

3 days left until my wedding!!!! I wish I would have had time to lost more weight, but I did fit into 2 pairs of my old jeans last night! I also have lost 2 inches off my hips since August, I measured!!!! Yay! Progress is happening, even if the scale has not moved very much.

Hi everyone, doesn't look like people are posting as much as before. I really like this group I hope we don't let it go away. I haven't been able to get on the scale this week I need to get a new one for my house. But I have been walking on my breaks at work and when I get home and I have been good about eating right too so I hope the next time I get on the scale it is good.

I didn't lose anything last week, and unfortunately ate pretty badly all of Thanksgiving weekend. I'm not proud of myself at the moment. :-( How did you guys do?

I have bronchitis and have been sick for about 6 weeks. I haven't been going to the gym much because I feel so awful. I'm on anti-biotics now and should be doing better in a couple of days.

I'm bummed that I've gained but considering that I haven't been on track and I've been sick I guess it's alright. Plus, I've still lost 9lbs in the past two months so I can't be too upset. I'm back on track this week with eating and I can probably get back to the gym next week.

Beth I hope you make you goal of 15lbs in Dec. That is a big goal but it sounds like you have it in you to do it.
I just don't seem to be able to do it. I really want to and think at the beginning of everyday that I can do it then I seem to always end up doing bad. I do pretty good during the day when I am at work then I get home and am tired from my 11 hour day and end up eating bad for dinner. This is a vent sorry. I will continue to try and hopefully one day (soon) do better.
we all seem to be in the same boat. I also have not been posting lately. I had my cousins wedding last month, and then I went to arizona for thanksgiving...and after that I just seemed to have lose some of the motivation. The month of november was a total bust for me. But now its december, and I am trying to lose some weight before my 21st birthday (in January). So, Im going to try to get back in the habit of eating right and exercising ; )
And stick with it. November was total crap for me as well, it's kind of a blur actually. It's so hard around the holidays to even MAINTAIN weight let alone lose. But it's all about choices and making the right ones most of the time, even if it's not all the time.
I find that setting a short term, realistic goal for myself often helps. I feel like whatever "new" strategy I implement is only temporary and I can do anything for a short period of time. The hardest part for me is consistency so when I have something to work for or look forward to it helps me stay on track.
PS I've been drinking V8 for breakfast and I totally love it. I feel cleaner somehow, like my insides have been washed. I don't like that it has a million mg of sodium (I'm a dramatic over-exaggerator) but I can deal with that.
I've reached my Christmas goal of 235, so now my next goal is 220 by March 15th. And earlier would be great, but I want to set a goal at 1 lb/week, something reasonable.
I'm getting a gym membership for Christmas, and I'm excited to start using it. That should definitely make the weight loss faster.
