Yep, seems like we're all in the same boat. Except I had thanksgiving in October, not November, hah. In total in November I lost 5lbs, it's not bad, but it's frustrating. I think I need to re-evaluate my eating habits. I know it's not a good excuse but I haven't had time to eat healthy, to get my 3 meals and 3 snacks in a day is getting harder and harder. These past couple of weeks I've eaten out, even fast food (a grilled chicken sandwich) and I'm disappointed in myself for it.
I have been keeping up with working out, except for this week. I've worked out once since last Saturday, but when I did work out it was an hour and 44 mins in the morning and 45 in the evening, burning approx 1200 calories in total.
I got a HR monitor watch which has been GREAT. I love knowing exactly how many calories I burn when I work out. I would recommend that all of you get one, it's a very helpful and motivating tool.
This week coming up is my exam week, and ARGH, FIVE of them! Wish me luck

I'm getting a little bit excited because I'm doing really well this week and though I don't want to get ahead of myself I have planned out the next 12 weeks of my life, at least in terms of weight loss.
My goal for December is a total of 25lbs (or 5lbs a week for the next 3 weeks because I've already lost 10lbs). After that I am going to shoot for 4lbs a week, which by staying on track with exercising I can totally do. I go back to my doctor at the end of February and I hope to have lost over a 100lbs (since my July start date) AND be under 300lbs. If I reach this goal, it will be the first time that I've been under 300lbs in more than 8 years. That's really huge for me and it's kind of scary but I think I can do it. Maybe by my Birthday next year (end of May) I'll be down to what I weighed in high school (10 years ago), which was 230-250lbs. WOW, it seems almost impossible but yet so desirable! Wish me luck girls, I'm going to need all the support I can get!
Thanks, and good luck, bethystan! I specifically asked for the gym membership, because I wanted to join but can't afford the signup fee. I signed up a little early, so I'm officially a member now and I'm trying to do the Couch to 5k jogging plan.
My whole family (practically) is trying to lose weight, too, so they're really supportive and proud of me. They're happy to do anything they can to help. :-)
I didn't lose any weight last week but I didn't work out either. I'm back on track this week and worked out HARD yesterday. I think I'm going swimming tonight with a friend so I'll get some laps done and I love the water.
Beth it seems like you are doing really good and I hope you can keep it up. I on the other hand have made up my mind that I am going back to weight watchers at the beginning of the year. I need to have to go stand in-front of another person to make myself do it I guess. I would go now but with Christmas and then right after that is my daughters birthday so the second weekend in January I will be going but I will also keep up with you guys and this thread. I hope everyone is back for the new year. Anyways I hope all have a great Christmas and New year I will be checking in a little later.
Hi guys! I know I've been absent for about a month. There were some very hard things happening in my life, including a 3-week seperation from my husband.
Fortunately, we've working things out, and not only that, but my previous experience on Calorie Count has ingrained in me some great habits, so I didn't gain a whole bunch of weight during that time! In fact, I've lost 1.5 pounds in the last month, which doesn't sound like a lot, but at least I didn't gain!!
I'm currently at the lowest adult weight of my life, at 202 pounds. I can't wait to get rid of those last 3 pounds and be under 200! Also, my sister is going to start riding bikes with me, and a very flattering thing, she told me I inspired her to start eating better and exercising!
I'll be back more often again, I promise!
Wow, that sounds horrible about your marriage problems. I'm so sorry to hear that and I hope you can work it out together! Be strong!

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the group and very happy to be here!! I'm 27, been with the same great guy for 10 years, and looking to shed the weight I've put on---mostly over those 10 years! hahahaha
I can tell you on Thursday my weight was 301 and today it is a smidgen under 298. Could be water weight loss, and that's OK with me.
My goal for December 31, 2008 is to weigh 225. My goal for the end of 2009 is to weigh 180.

I am at 345, I lost 10lbs last month and I am very happy with that. My total weight loss since July 2007 is 60lbs. Good luck to everyone this year and I hope to hear from you soon!
I started Weight Watchers this past weekend and was very sad to see how much weight I had gained over the holidays. MY new stats are

I have been doing really good this week and hope to continue. I really want to be down at least 50 lbs by Oct when I go up north for my cousins wedding. (Really I would like to be at least 199 but we will see) I hope we can keep this thread going I really enjoy hearing from everyone.

Well I went back to Weight Watchers on Saturday and I couldn't believe it I lost 6.4lbs last week. It made me feel so good to finally lose something. I know I am not going to have a lot of weeks with that big of a loss but it just helped me see that I can do this. I hope all you ladies have a great week.

so few of us are posting, but since some girls are still loyal, I am going to try to get back in this. I weighed myself today and i come in at 242. It took me forever to get below 240 that i feel kind of bad i gained weight. So, im definitely more motivated to lose weight now : )

I gained weight over the holidays and lost it. It was really disappointing because I was below 220 before the holidays and ballooned up to 227 after. I'm so happy I'm back below 220 now! I have only 3lbs to go until I've lost 50lbs!
