<3 JennI did alright through the holidays but my work outs dropped off during January. I am back on track at the gym for February. Basically, I have not lost any weight since December but I haven't gained either. I am at 346lbs but hoping to drop some poundage this month.

hi everyone,
i didn't get a chance to post last week because i was away on vacation. i'm pretty depressed coming back. partly because chicago has crappy weather and partly because i'm more cognizant of the fact that i'm single and alone. today's my 26th bday and although i had an amazing week of vacation with my family and then came home to a great bday party saturday night, i feel really DOWN. i saw pics of myself from vacation and the party and realize that although i'm 53 pounds down (now at 278) i've got well over 100 to go. (i'm 5'3" so i would ideally like to be 135 pounds but will be happy at whatever a size 12/14 is). i just HATED the way i looked. i felt like a disgusting blob next to my cute size 0-4 friends. and to top it off, valentine's day is in 2 days and i have no one and feel like i cannot do this weight loss thing. this is the first time i've stuck to a "change of life" plan (as opposed to a "diet") but it's been SO SLOW (started losing in september 2006) and i only just got my exercising back up to snuff last month (losing like 10 pounds from doing so!)
i now joined weight watchers at work and they told me i can eat 34 points a day but that seems like WAY too much food. i'm really full cuz i eat high protein and high fiber yet they say we SHOULD eat all our points or else our metabolism gets low. *sigh* any advice/support would be appreciated today. i hate living alone. maybe i should get a pet or something.

Hello Ladies,
I havent checked in since November. I stopped logging for awhile, but now i'm back. I'm glad to see more people on here. It also seems like many of you are making amazing progress!
My last weigh in(November 5th) was:
Age 25 Height 5'8
SW 230
CW 187
My current weight is now 170. I had a hard time getting down past 173. I stayed there for a few weeks, but recently started lossing again. I'm 6 pounds away from a"healthy weight" and I am fitting in my original goal size(10) pants. Although on the surface, I seem so close, but my goal still seems amazingly challenging! I look at the scale and think it's never going to budge into the 160's. This weight loss thing is such a journey and at times, I feel like i'm not meant to be smaller than I am. I have to fight that and know that for health purposes I still need to keep at it. I'm so impressed by those of you that have stuck with this journey since 2006 and before. That is a huge task and you should feel proud to stick with your healthier lifestyle! I'm wishing you all much success this week!
