Last week: 211.9 lbs
Current week: 208 lbs
Most of it was due to a really bad weekend last week. Also I went to the gym 4 times last week. Hope it continues to go down and not up. Good luck girls.

I gained. :(
Mostly because I ate crud and got off track with exercising. It's no mystery :) I just went to the grocery and got some good food and the past few days have gotten back on track with exercise. So next week should see a loss.

I LOST 6LBS!!!
I worked my butt off (literally obviously) last week. I worked out 6 out of 7 days, and on 4 of those I worked out at the gym and also swam laps! I'm feeling good!!!
I'm so proud of all of you who lost weight this week! There are no small steps forward! For those who did not lose weight, you'll do better this week. Everyday isn't a new day to start over, every MINUTE is. If you break down and eat those chocolate chip muffins that your co-worker brought in, that's ok! Just have a salad for lunch and make sure you work out today!
GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK EVERYBODY! Also, once I have gotten everyone's numbers, if you'd like a copy of the updated spreadsheet, please let me know.

Bethystan that is great!!!! What do you do at the gym as a workout?
I try to work out twice everyday but that doesn't always happen. I do swim everyday though no matter what.
At the gym, I do 20-30 minutes on the elliptical and 3-5 days per week I do weights as well alternating my muscle groups (abs & arms, chest & back, then legs & shoulders). I do 3 sets of 10 reps each on the machines. I gradually increase my weight for different muscle groups as I get stronger. And I stretch out after everything I do whether it's swimming, cardio or weights. It helps my body release the lactic acid that builds up in the muscles while working out and they can regenerate faster.
So, last week I did ten 30-45 minute workouts.

That is insane bethystan. Where do you find the time to do that. I have a mini goal of working out 3 time a week. Which last week I worked out 4 time. So yeah me. That is great though that you can do 10 work outs. Where are your pictures?
What's really insane is that I work two jobs and about 10 hours per day. I started out swimming everyday - because I enjoy it, it's low impact and I know that I'll do it. I even splurged on a new swim suit so I would feel comfortable.
It's hard sometimes to get in the door of the gym. Once I'm there, I work my butt off but I'll stay parked outside for 5-10 minutes talking on the phone or whatever trying to delay the moment when I have to go in.
It's so worth it though. I feel good. I just have decided that working out is the most important thing I can do for myself and nothing else is as important.
3 workouts a week is a good goal! Yea You, Tasha for going 4 times!!!

Well I don't know how many times I am going to go this week (to the gym). I hurt my shoulder really bad. So it might be a real easy week for me. I will however, make up for it with my diet (fingers crossed). Good luck to everyone this week.
Your my motivation this week Bethystan to get better and go to the gym. You are awesome. If you can find time to go to the gym that much and work that much I have no excuse. =)

Tasha- take it easy on that shoulder! You don't want to overextend yourself when you have an injury!

So here is a thought/idea for everyone to ponder. I know that we are all in this support group for one common purpose-to loose weight. But I know that we have to have more in common than that. I would like to know more about the ladies that i am encouraging and am getting encouragement from. The only thing I know about each of you is how old you are, how tall and how much you weigh. There is so much more to each of us than that. I feel that our apperance is only the wrapping to the treasure we each have inside of us.
On that note, I guess I will go first. I am now from a very little town in Wyoming (population less than 300). I got my B.S. Degree in Range Management with options in Livestock Production and Rangeland Business. I work for the conservation district in my area and love it to death. I enjoy a great many things in life: the outdoors, reading, photography, crafts, scrapbooking, and camping. In my spare time I am working on landscaping my yard. This is a great way to build muscle especially if the main ingrediant in your landscaping is rocks. My favorite movie is Remember the Titans followed close by Pure Country (mostly because it has George Strait in it). I guess that is all that I have to say about myself for now. I hope that y'all take the time to share something about yourselves.
I have a feeling that this group is going to be around for a while and would like to know more about each of you other than how much you weigh, because there is so much more to us than how we look.

This is such a great idea anitambar - thanks for suggesting it! Sounds like you have a job you love and that is so important! I guess if I'm ever out in Wyoming I'll have to find out where the best camp spots are!
I don't have time today but will share some of my more interesting attributes tomorrow and hope to hear about everyone else's!

anitambar- great idea. I will go now.
I live in a larger city in Oregon. We moved here in February from Wisconsin. My husband and I are missionaries in training adn right now he is finishing his flight training to be a jungle pilot.
I have two kids who I am blessed to get to stay home with. I love to read, hike, swim, sing, and be with people I love. I also have my own business with MK and do that for social time and a little extra money.

i live in ontario, canada...i work full time for a non profit organization doing marketing, media relations and fundraising. i used to work in radio and sometimes i miss it...i still fill in at the local station every once in a while. my husband owns his own business so i also help with his accounting duties. we're trying to start a family right now, but haven't been having much luck...we're also in the middle of renovating our house...which we're also not having much luck with! LOL uhm, what else...i love baking, i want to get a vespa (a scooter) and i want to take horseback riding lessons so i can know how it feels to be on a horse that is running.
i think that it's in a nutshell...oh ya, i've finally added some pictures in my profile...

This is great! I love knowing about everyone!
I live just outside of Washington DC and work as an artist at an architectural rendering firm. I resigned from the DC Rollergirls derby league in February after tearing up my knee and I miss it terribly. I'm hoping to get married this fall and that's a huge motivation for me to drop the extra weight. My boyfriend is wonderful and supportive and helps keep me on track, not by reminding me or scolding me when I slip up, but by telling me I'm beautiful every day and meaning it! I want to feel as beautiful as he sees me. Thanks for sharing everyone, and best of luck this week!
