I have been really busy so I haven't been able to catch up on here until this morning, I've loved reading everyone's backgrounds and interests. I'm almost 22 (a month from today yay) and I live in Connecticut. I just graduated in May from college with a degree in Sociology, and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with that degree. I am most likely going to be a high school teacher which means more school, but not full-time this year. I work at a clothing store, and I am going to be promoted to front-end supervisor (the registers and customer service) in about a month. It means I'll be busier, but I'm hoping it means I'll be too busy to snack mindlessly at home! In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends. My friends and I go to the bar pretty much all the time which is bad for my diet, but I try to keep it to light beer or wine and not ordering food there, haha. That's all I can really think of right now (it's still early and I just got out the shower!).
Also, I feel the same way about being motivated this week! I haven't gotten to the gym ONCE which is terrible, especially considering I've eaten out just about every day. But reading everyone posts has definitely helped!
Well now that I feel like I've been writing forever...haha...I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!! Congrats to everyone who lost this week and keep up the good work!!

But i must admit it looks more manageable when i break it down into two goals the short term and ultimate
hi george! welcome - i think you'll like it here :) it is a bit scarey when you see the number down (i personally never tell ANYONE, but it's a good first step!)
meg - sounds like there is something in the air with men these days...my husband is being a butthead this week. and guess what...it doesn't matter how old they are (dh is 40!!)...he probably did miss you, but guys suck at expressing their feelings and emotions. even if he considers you just a friend, i am sure he misses spending time with you too. i agree with cupid...don't take it personally, I am sure it's not an issue with him! just make sure you guys get together soon and catch up!
must go get something to eat!!! i'm starving! (ok well, not starving per se, but REALLY hungry!) i'm working from home today...getting caught up on laundry mountain...yay!

ugh...you guys....too many vodka and diet pepsi last night...feeling a bit fuzzy this morning/afternoon! i was at a stag and doe last night...but the good news is, i managed to control myself around all the food (these darn italians and the food we have to eat all the time!!) and especially the sweets and cookies. BUT, i did go a little overboard on the alcohol! i still plan to get to my gym today...i have to meet my goal of going 3 times a week...so i'll have to suck it up and head out soon!
how is everyone else doing this weekend?
It's funny you mention that you were drinking a lot of diet pepsi and vdka lastnight becaues i was just talking about this wtih my girlfriend this morning. We are planning on going to a club tonight and I would like to drink , but am not sure what has the least calories and i thought that drink would be the best. Would you agree?
hi george! sorry for the delay...it's been a hectic weekend! how was your night out - did you girls have fun??
for me, the diet pepsi and vodka was better than what i would normally drink which is vodka and orange juice or vodka and cranberry. i've actually decided it's my new drink of choice - i've been telling my girlfriends all about it and we think it's a good compromise. i also found i am not as hung over (if i over indulge). at least this way, this sis something i can sit down and have one or two drinks and not feel like i am wasting all the hard work for the rest of the week.

I was 187 Saturday morning, and then by boyfriend had asthma attacks all weekend and my water heater broke. :( Does stress make you retain water? I've been working so hard!
