Fess up! What did you eat on Halloween?

Ok so yesterday I super indulged...I had so much fun though!

 

I'm a college student so my friends and I did a goofy "trick or treat" around upper classmen housing and most of them just gave us beers :-P Some gave us candy! And one gave us an entire box of donuts!

So my day went like this:

Breakfast: mixed fruit, cottage cheese, and an english muffin

Lunch: Chicken cheesesteak with brocolli, onions, mushrooms on a whole wheat bun

After that I went wayyyy downhill:

3+ servings of kettlecorn (not the kind you pop, the kind that's carmelized and covered in sugar), a few fun sized candy bars, 2 mini donuts, 2 beers, 1 mixed drink (diet coke, vodka, and apple "schnapps"), a handful of popcorn, and a piece of chocolate cake

And I don't regret it one bit!

lol, I'm also a college student. I know this isn't healthy or a good idea at all, but Friday and Saturday I basically didn't eat during the day at all so I could have the Halloween snacks Friday and Saturday night. And they were delicious.

I can't even remember everything I ate, but there were oreos, chocolate chip cookies, lots of mini candy bars, pumpkin bread, brownies, pretzels, corn chips, soda, coffee

Nothing at all to meet my nutritional needs, but I loved every second of it!

No regrets =)

I ate :

Breakfast - protein drink (w/ skim milk)

Lunch - 2 eggs, 2 slices of "diet bread" (weight watchers), mayo, apple, red and yellow pepper

Dinner - chicken breast, spinach, cheese, peppers on a tortilla

Dessert - 2 skinny cow (totaling 100 cal) popsicles

Snack - grapes, tall non-fat tazo chaii latte from starbucks

 

I did my first "Couch to 5k" run in the morning and couldn't bring myself to eat junk food after the pain I was in by nighttime, lol!

Breakfast was alarmingly large, my husbands grandmother made soooo much food but since I am a ovo-vegetarian, I couldn't eat most of it (thank god): scrambled egg on a biscuit, whole waffle handmade in the waffle maker thing with syrup, a couple more biscuits (I normally stick with just one but it was halloween...)

Lunch was pizza from LaRosas (my favorite pizza place) and it had diced tomatoes, spinach, red onion, green olives and mushrooms.

Dinner was another piece of LaRosas pizza and a TON of candy that my daughter shared with me.  We had a blast trick-or-treating and so I don't mind indulging with her in candy.  I honestly don't know how many calories worth of candy I consumed so um... I probably ate 1900-2000 calories total yesterday... maybe more.  Who knows?

I have no regrets. Tongue out

I went to bed verrry early ( like 6 or 7) purposely just to avoid all the candy i knew my family would come home with. I woke up, however, at around 1 am and everyone was already in bed and someone left candy on the table. So of course i went crazy and ate practically the whole bag D:

I'm so mad because i KNEW it would happen and thats why i went to bed early so i could avoid it and it happened anyway.

Breakfast - Green grapes (110 cals)

Lunch - Caesar salad w/chicken (230 cals)

Snack - Skinny Cow ice-cream bar (100 cals)

Dinner - Stuffed baked potato (380 cals), Chili (227 cals)

Snack - Popcorn w/butter (300 cals)

No candy at all.  I always avoid that aisle of the store when I go shopping.  Laughing

Oh man. Ok since Thursday I have been like an endless pit. I've been working out alot and I think it caught up with me. Thursday wasn't awful, but Friday night we went to a party so I had about 3 shots, then peanut m&ms, a little cheetos/doritos, 2 pieces of pizza and a few more pieces of chocolate (thank God I spent awhile at the gym Friday ahha). And then Saturday....ice cream, too much chocolate. And today, again a little too much chocolate (not as bad as yesterday but still) but I worked out for awhile again today so hopefully that will help. I'm going to call it the end of a maintenance weekend and forget about that bag of hershey's nuggets that I almost have single handedly eaten over the course of 4 days.....haha oh well. I never do that multiple days in a row. but it was fun. And now I'm motivated to have a good week!

The Hallowed Saints Weekend

Breakfast: Honey Oat Bagel with crunchy PB and sliced banana; one cup 1% milk

Lunch: 2 poached eggs on high fiber english muffin; granny smith apple; litenfit peach yogurt; 7 baby carrots; thick slice of tomato

TREAT: 14 oz Berry-Pom smoothie from the campus Ben and Jerry's shop...used a 5$ gift certificate

Dinner: 5 oz strip steak; 6 oz brocolli; 6 oz mashed potatoes (garlic basil, my own concoction)

Snack: one oreo with the creme scraped off (don't like it)

I work from 9am to 2:30pm at my college's freshman dining hall so I get one meal at 10:30 am...brunch.

Brunch: 1 cup Total raisin bran with 1 cup skim milk; banana; Apple cinnamon bagel with PB; 6 oz cantaloupe; 6 oz kiwi; plain cake donut; 1 glass skim milk

**swiped two bites of sausage link

After work snack: 1 empire apple; 18 mini wheats with some sliced strawberry and 1/3 cup milk

Dinner: 3.25 oz (dry) Barilla whole wheat spaghetti, 6 oz chicken breast, 2 cups spinach, 2/3 cup tomato sauce

CANDY: went to a fraternity meeting and there was candy!! I  had two mini dark snickers, one mini snickers with almonds, 2 reeses pb cups, one mini bag of peanut m&m's

 

NO REGRETS MAN!!

Ha!  You have no idea how hard it was to NOT buy a bag of those mini Reese's peanut butter cups, prinzess.  Took every bit of willpower.  Not only that, but I went to the Halloween potluck at my old workplace on Friday (was laid off in April, but they still consider me "family").  I took a crock pot of chili I made (290 cals per one and two thirds cup), and that's ALL I ate.  Soooooo much good food, but I resisted.  It was so hard, but I sure got lots of compliments on the 41 pounds I've lost since I left there, so it was worth it.  Laughing 

Breakfast: hot chocolate + special k protein bar

Lunch: 1 cup of oatmeal squares w/ skim milk + 1 banana

Snack:  fat free cottage cheese and celery sticks + a 100 cal bag of popcorn

Dinner>  salad (lettuce, yellow bell peppers, ff shredded cheese, turkey bacon, light ranch dressing) + another cup of oatmeal squares w/ skim milk (I'm a cereal addict!)

And then I had some fun: 2 glasses of wine, a chocolate cupcake with frosting and sprinkles, 1/4 of a candied red wine apple, chips and salsa.... I didn't go as overboard as I had feared, and I managed to stay away from the candy. Somehow.

After dinner I had half a smirnoff ice, a glass of champagne, probably around a shot of rum, 3 shots of vodka + lots of carbs ;)  College is fun haha

OK...so, like I started off real good on Friday and then it went downhill as my step-daughter threw a little party for her friend's and their children on Halloween night. I did have the best intentions on being "good" - but too mnay tricks and not enough treats for the last three weeks overwhelmed me at about 7:30 PM on Friday as my family was chomping down on Sausage Pizza.....

So- I ate one piece of sausage pizza on Friday Night, along with my regular dinner....boo

On Saturday, I again rebounded and was "good" for most of the day, but, the Vampyre Vodka mesmerized me and I had 3 drinks (with no cal Fruit Punch :P)

I then proceeded to eat 5 buffalo wings, some nuggets and a couple of "saucy cheese fries" (french fries w/ mild wing sauce and cheese wiz) - oh and one chicken tender that I shared with my doggie :~)

Then on Sunday is was a Chinese Takeout Extravagnaza complete with Egg Roll, Pork fried rice, Shrimp Lo Mein, Shrimp Toast and Won Ton Soup! And don't forget the Fortune Cookie! (My fortune was "You Look Proud and Happy" - um not so much after my binge)

So- here is how my calorie intake went for the last seven days:

On saturday i drank the hell out of me, plus ate like 5 hersheys white chocolate bars.

I also ate many chocolate bars on thurday.

 

And today..i ate like..4...

But...

IM DONE WITH HERSHEYS WHITE CHOCOLATE UNTIL NEXT WEEK. THEN ITS ONLY 1 BAR A WEEK. NOT ONE PER HOUR. DARN YOU, FAVORITE CANDY BAR, DARN YOU.

Ok I didn't have any halloween candy this weekend, because well, there wasn't any around I guess. But after reading this post I want some RIGHT NOW. Any one have an extra Reese cup they can bring me?

I was good until evening time both Friday and Saturday. I threw a Halloween party at my place and we had pizza and wings on Friday. My hubby insisted on getting a pumpkin pie (he loves it since he never had it in England!!) - so i had a slice of that, I also had a shot and a few sips of beer and wine. Fell asleep early cuz I am always the first to fall asleep! LOL

Saturday I was good all day and did lots of house chores - and forgot to get in a healthy dinner before it was time to go trick-or-treating with my daughter. So as we were walking btw houses, we were sharing the candy/chips she was getting! I guess at least we were (kind of) walking it off, and it was a REALLY unhealthy replacement ''dinner'' - no caloric goodness whatsoever.

Oh yeah, and I totally forgot that last night i staved off dinner till late cuz I waited for the hubby to get out of work, and we went to my sisters house and had ham/scalloped potatoes & corn. I bought a chocolate mousse cake to share (I was responsible for dessert) - but only had a small slice and left the rest with sis. She's gaga over my 3 1/2 month old son, and really wanted to spend time with HIM *ahem* - never mind the rest of us. So dinner was her excuse to get us to come over! LOL

Oh and today I did well all day, I had 2 peanut butter cups, but counted them into my caloric intake, and only went 22 calories over my regular 1600 daily allotment : ) yay!

Back on track now - if i lose 4 more more pounds I'm halfway to my goal!

This will make all of you feel better about yourselves... My mom came to visit me at college and she brough a pumpkin pie (my weakness around Thanksgiving) and told me I should share it with the girls in my dorm. I ended up watching NipTuck and eating the entire thing and throwing away the packaging and telling my mom I shared it when she asked where it was. HAHAHA I'm awful!!!!

I ate really good on Saturday........until night time. It was our one 'cheat' meal so we decided to go all out. We went to Papa Murphy's and picked up a pizza. We've never had pizza from there before and it was REALLY good. While I was out picking up pizza, I stopped by Papa John's and got a couple of orders of buffalo wings. It was pretty much as unhealthy of a dinner as you can get but it was SO good and we haven't had pizza in months. Plus, on Saturday I did volunteer work all day and was helping to roof a house for 8 hours so after figuring what I burned all day and what I ate in pizza & wings, I pretty much came out even!

Regular ol' stuff plus 6 beers.

Bouh, my sister won't let me touch her candies.

She ate all the Oh!Henry and left the Smarties. >_<!
