Ok so...I've started to eat more healthy because I've recently joined the school tennis team. I want to lose about 20-25 pounds while I'm there so I've began eating the salad that my school offers there with a Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing so that I won't be starving myself before practice starts afterschool at 3:00 PM. (I also eat a cup and a half of cereal with milk + a fruit + cup of water for breakfast @ 6:00 AM)
So my questions are...
1) Is Raspberry Vinaigrette healthy?
2) Am I eating enough for breakfast (for a 5'2/16.5-yr-old/girl)?
3) Does dieting also increase...farting rates?
Everytime I go to tennis practice, I always try to hold it in...and it blows out whenever I make large movements (like running etc.). It's...embarrassing. And I don't think I've ever farted this much before......
Also, if there's anything else you guys see that's wrong with my eating schedule, then do say so, mmk? I also eat right after my two hour tennis practice and have dinner or a snack later so I can reach 2000 cals everyday.
...but, I don't keep a written record though. It's all guesswork.
4) Is that fine?
I also carry a planner around at school so I can use that as a "food journal" if mental records aren't reliable.
Help would be appreciated. ^_^

1)It depends what kind of oil it's amed with, whether it contains high frutcose corn syrup, and how much is used.
2)i think so, but it sounds kind of early until lunch
3)you could be eating more fiber or other things that ccontribute to gas and bloating

1) As trippy said, it really depends on what's in the vinaigrette and how much your school uses. If they absolutely smother your salad in dressing try asking for it on the side, or not at all. D: Dressings can be hidden killers in salad, along with extras like breaded chicken and so on. Have you considered bringing your own lunch? [: That way you know everything that goes in it and can vary it.
2) Your breakfast sounds good, though could do with a little more protein if anything. Consider adding a hard boiled egg - or have one as a snack. Also, aim for less sugary manifactured cereals if you can, and wholegrains if you haven't already - bran cereals, oatmeal, and I think in the US there's a brand called Kashi I've heard a lot of hype over. Otherwise, sounds good!
3) Haha, yes, I'm afraid it can. When my mum started changing her diet for the better and eating more fruit and veg and fibre she was very breezy indeed. It calms down after a while once your body adapts, but do remember - farting is a natural bodily function. Would you rather it out, or in? If you really, REALLY get windy, excuse yourself to a toilet if you can.
4) Do you eat breakfast lunch snack dinner snack? Or breakfast lunch dinner snack? Eitherway, that's pretty good, and 2000 is a good target if you're active at your height - remember, though, that teenagers should eat a minimum of 1500 calories, so you might even need more.
Good for you on starting to eat healthily!
THANK YOU TWO VERY MUCH FOR REPLYING!!! ^___^
Btw, I went to check the vinaigrette today and it was a whooping 100 cals per 4in. x 3in. sized packet (my school only lets us have one) and I think its a pretty good deal (it uses vegetable oil(not sure which?) btw). 8D
..but damn, breaded chicken is bad? It was one of my favorite parts of the salad. I guess I'll have to go with the vegetarian salad then. x_x
And I have Multi Grain Cheerios as my cereal so I think I picked a good one [110 cals per 1 cup with 6 grams of sugar].
And also, I don't exactly have a set schedule as to when I eat everyday. But I guess its usually breakfast, lunch, snack 1, snack 2, dinner. I may have a third snack but it varies between snack2/dinner or after dinner.
But again, thank you for clarifying some things. ^__^
Dammit, I have to live with the farting? That sucks. >_>
Well, breaded chicken isn't so bad as long as your salad isn't LOADED with it. And it could be worse - could be fried. [: If it tallies in to your total, eat it.
Cheerios are good. :D I'm an oatmeal nut, myself. No added sugars, high in fibre and lowers cholesterol. There's so much you can do to it to make it yummy and different. @_@ Banana oatmeal (a whole small banana or half a large banana + oatmeal, heated together) is amaaazing, for one. Still, try a little protein at breakfast too [: A hard boiled egg is only about 70-90 calories depending on size and is a superfood.
Your eating schedule looks good, too. Regular meals / snacks = good for the metabolism.
And sadly, yeah, farts come with. But they calm down! x] I have to eat high fibre thanks to IBS-C, but I know I'd much rather wind over... well, the other option. ;__;
Quite welcome!
