fibbing to yourself?

Quote  |  Reply

I am just curious if anyone else has done something like this or perhaps still does..?

In my cafeteria there is a salad bar which i really enjoy as you can get lots of variation without buying whole big packs and making it at home.

Anyway i have been telling myself its a good healthy option, but its just a fib because i will start with lettuce and tomato and end with mayo potato salad and pasta salads piled on top!  I have just kept telling myself it is healthy salad but the way i put it together turns it into something much larger and more calorific than i estimate it at.

Its like the 'healthy' salad is turning into the new pizza for me, should i just try and steer clear of it? I loose control with portion size as well, try to get the most for my money and pack it in the tub! o dear!

I have a salad bar near where I work and i LOVE it, but i know what you mean about the mayonnaisy temptations. I ususally just fill my box with the lettucey stuff and also have some couscous type stuff for a bit of variation, and then limit any calorific stuff to like a tablespoon of each thing, sometimes less. It's hard to steer clear of but you still get a tasty filling lunch without it :D
