so i've heard this a couple times. i've read stories of up to 7 cal per gram, and others 2 calories per gram, wel you know if you ate it you ate it, so maybe they're both wrong. anyone know anything about this?

Fiber does not count towards calories, as your body does not actually digest it.  It's basically in one end and out the other...  However while it's in your body it promotes bodily functions based on the type. (insoluable or soluable fiber)

Fiber is generally zero for the reasons tydude187 said. It's structured like a carbohydrate and listed on labels as carbs, and sometimes erroneously included in the calorie count.

this is interesting... so it can occasionally be counted in the body as a calorie? i've heard that it prevents calorie absorbtion sometimes; is this a complete myth then?
