How much fibre should I be eating a day?
I am trying to clear our my whole system,
I have been told by my gym that my body water percentage is only 40%, I need to increase it to at least 60% to work out safely and efficiently on my new routine.

I think they recommend 25 or so. I usually aim for 35-40 and then drink LOTS of water to make sure the fiber doesn't end up binding me up. The Kashi cereals have lots of fiber-the VIVE one has 12 grams of fiber per serving and is quite good. How much water are you drinking? And make sure to drink extra on the days when you are working out to make up what you lose through sweating and breathing.
I've heard here 25-35 grams of fibre is recommended but I even try to aim for more like 40...But be sure to drink lots of water like was mentioned.
I have increased my water intake (and today is only my second day of concious effort) from approx 4 cups of coffee and 4 glasses (half pints) of water to 1-2 coffees, 1-2 herbal teas, and approx 8 glasses of water.
Not sure how much good it is doing me as I've spent most of today getting up and down for the loo!!

You should try hard to drink one if not two glasses of water with a high fibre meal or snack. The fibre needs water to create the bulk you need to 'clear out'.
My naturopath says to drink 1 extra glass of water for every "vice" beverage-like coffee, soda etc..
fiber one cereal has 14 grams of fiber per 1/2 cup. i have 3/4 cup with 3/4 cup of skim milk every morning. it's only 150 calories.
