The Fight of the Century: Pop or Soda?

Alright, folks, I want a nice clean fight. No biting off each other's ears. No calling each other buttmunch or dingleberry. Keep it clean. Mild mocking is allowed.

So..

Which is it?

Pop?

or

Soda?

In Colorado, it's always "pop", but I insist on calling it "soda" anyway.

A thong is underwear.

Swimming trunks are for boys.  Men wear swim suits.

Dinner and supper are interchangeable, but supper is more informal

 

 

 

Zee.

I can honestly say I have never heard of "zed".  Are people referring to the last letter of the alphabet?  Some people actually say x...y....zed???  No!!  What other letters have another consonant added to the pronunciaton?

Well for what its worth all of canada, england and australia say zed.

Its the only letter that is said differently!

And when we see a z       &n bsp; we say zed not zee,  zee is the sound the letter z makes!!

Actually wouldn't the sound it makes just be zzz rather than zee? (kind of like a hard s)  I don't think the "ee" sound goes with it.  Just like c, or d, etc.

Nope, zee is definitely the sound a zed makes.

I just remembered another one: 2 weeks is a fortnight. Most people get paid fortnightly.

 Ha, we have a higher population then all 3 combined :P. We win. I know lots of Canadians seeing as how the border is only like 15 miles away from me and they all say ZEE. That is all :D Have a lovely day.

ohmigawd, its coke. there is no other term. pop is a verb and soda is a specific kind of coke with no flavor and no color

I live in Canada, and they all say zed here. You're friends have clearly been corrupted by living too close to their cra-zee neighbours!

I would like to say this: I live on a route (pronounced root), not a rowte.

I eat supper at 5, drink pop, take my groceries out of the cart and put them in the trunk, the menfolk wear trunks for swimming, and you only see trollies in San Diego. Thongs are uncomfortable panties and flip flops go on my feet.

You silly Canadians, the only reason you have higher overall IQ's is because you get more chinese immigrants :P Besides, why would you need an IQ to hold a gun (Yes, I threatned Canada. What are you going to do?).

For those old enough to remember, change the "t" to a "p" and it is clear that bizzaro world == Dan Quayle world
