Hello :)
I have not been on here in quite a while...
I decided to stop dieting and stay where I am at...
I am 9 Months PP now, and I am finally pretty content.
I know most would say im fat, but im not going by the twig hollywood standard- im going by health and what makes me feel good :)
My measurements are 38-25-38, and I am very happy with that :) (BUT if I could get to Sophia Loren's measurements- id be THRILLED- 38-24-38)
Im not back to my Prepreg weight- i was 120 before, but I am now 127, at 5 2', and I think ill just stay here...if i lose weight, fine, but if not, no biggie.
Just thought I would share :)
Good for you!
You're measurements are absolutely amazing. You don't say how tall you are, but you have an hourglass shape, regardless. I am glad to see that you are in a happy place. The number does not matter at all. It's all about how you feel and I am glad you feel happy
.
I am also in a happy place. It's nice there, ain't it? :P
OOH yeah it is!! Ive been trying to be happy for a LONG time, and im finally allowing myself to feel peace...So im thrilled.
Im 5 '2...So short...lol
Well done for achieving those measurements! ![]()
Thats nice to hear you are happy
Original Post by aceyleigh:I am almost 5'4" and my last measurement done 8/4 was 36-29-38. I have a little bit of pear in my hourglass, but I figure given our height difference we have relatively the same figure. And honey, NO ONE should refer to you as fat it I am right about that. Heck! Most of the people who have seen me and remember what I used to look like call me too skinny. I look good. I look fit. I am svelt...not perfect but I don't want or need to be. I am happy.

And hey, the plus side of being short is that you can be very maneuverable. :) Good at fitting in small places. ;)
Um, excuse me, you are not fat!! You are not a twig but you are an hourglass, definitely not fat. I would kill for your measurements. I'm 5'2" as well, and although I'm 120 pounds these are my (sucky) measurements: 36-32-35 can we say apple shape? I'm not happy staying here because I have no waist, and can't fit into any clothes.
A 25 inch waist would be my dream, I'll be happy with even 27 inches! After my pregnancies I don't even know if it's possible for my body type to get down to 25 again.
Can we trade? Anyway, good for you for being happy with your body. I think it's a rare thing in this world. I'm hoping to get to that place soon too. :)

A 24 inch waist sounds so tiny to me. I have a 37 inch waist right now, and I'm just trying to get down to 35. My size 2 sister has a 28 inch waist and she's the thinnest girl I know. She's also 4 inches taller than me. I'm only 5'3". Since I'm so short and small framed, should I be trying to get a 25 inch waist? What size pants does that equate to?
its not exactly TRYING to get to that size, its in genetics too- The women in my family are all natural hourglasses, so its in my genetics.
My grandmother had a 21 inch wast when she got married at my age- so she was way smaller than me, but she was also 5'5".
Im not sure what size pant that goes to...I can fit anywhere from a 6 to an 8...It all depends..and im a 2/3 in a dress size...Oddly enough... But my frame size is medium-large, so its odd for me...I WISH i had a small frame, but i dont.
The problem with my hourglass is that its hard to find anything to fit me right- most shirts are tight around the bust but make me look bigger since they wont fit tightly to my waist...And if i find something that fits my waist, my bust is too big...its a pain in the neck...The problem with hourglass is its hard to find anything to fit right...if i pick the wrong thing, i end up looking like a blimp...and since my hourglass is so drastic (13 inch difference...) its tough....It can be frustrating since the clothing industry makes clothes to fit mostly straight up and down women...
This is the only outfit i have that REALLY fits my figure correctly...i cant see, to find much else.

Im not back to my pre-preg size either- im an inch bigger everywhere sadly, but its alright :) My hips are actually permenantly bigger now- Some women's hips stay bigger width wise after pregnancy, so its fine :)
HAHA yeah, its a good thing being short. I like being short since i can have such a drastic hourglass yet still not weigh too much....So its a good thing.
I always have issues reaching the top shelf though...Hubby has to rescue me all the time, HAHAAA
Hehe...I climb and get the top shelf stuff myself. I'm 23 and very adventurous and kind of fearless. I get myself into pickles a lot but I'm not dead yet! :P
Haha, my hubby is 6'3" and very useful for reaching things on the top shelf--however he's not always conveniently around. I've perfected this jump and grab move.... hehehehe

How am I size 9 at 120 and everyone else is size 2/4 at 5'2" and 120-130?? Is my bodyfat percentage just that high? I think it's about 27% right now.

Size 9 is a juniors size, isn't it? I think I fit into 7/9 in juniors. But even in adult sizes, it's so variable by store. I'm a 2/4 at Old Navy & Gap (I know they vanity size), so maybe see what fits you there, just for a fair comparison.
I've never heard of junior sizes but I it would be interesting to try the gap and old navy. Actually I haven't bought clothes for a long time, maybe I should do that. I wear the same pants I wore at 147, they just fit me better now--they are mostly stretch stuff. I have a pair of jeans that is size 28 that I'm hoping to fit into soon, I think that's size 7??

So as I understand it, odd numbers are juniors (like middle school age girls), and even numbers are for grownups. You'll see this at Target, where clothes are separated into junior and adult.
Check out Gap and Old Navy size charts.
I can tell you that I have a 28 inch waist, but wear a 2 in Gap jeans, and a 4 in Gap slacks and Old Navy jeans, despite what their charts say.
Ok, I get it now--my hips and thighs are size 0 or 1 and my waist is size 14.
36-32-35
Not that I really get it because my size 28 jeans from Smart Set are tight in the waist And thighs.
I guess I just have to lose some of my belly and I'll be fine...
Thanks for the charts.:)
Janice
Well, im happy, I have gotten down to 125, and YAY I finally have Sophia Loren's measurements...38-24-38!!!!
Im not a twig, never will be, but hey, im content :)
