How do I figure out the Subway menu for which bread I'm eating?
How do I know which item to choose when adding a food item to my list. For example: Subway...I eat their Turkey sandwich on wheat but on your list for Subway I cannot tell if the Turkey sandwich listed is on wheat bread? It lets me choose turkey sandwich and on another area it lets me choose just the bread? But when I choose turkey sandwich does it not include the bread?
Thanks-
I hope someone answers this question. I went through the same thing yesterday and the conclusion I came to after choosing my sandwich and the bread seperately is that the sandwich doesn't include the bread. When I added the bread it was more calories than the sandwich was, therefore the sandwich must not include the bread b/c if it did the calories would've been the bread plus the meat. I was astounded at how many calories my Subway sandwich was. Pretty sickening!
I know what you mean. I was really surprised too!! I went to the Subway site to figure out how many calories my sandwich was and it was much higher than I thought... Why does the site say sandwich when they really mean just meat! It's very confusing!
Thanks for the reply!
I compared the nutrition info in the Subway website (http://subway.com/subwayroot/MenuNutrition/Nu trition/pdf/NutritionValues.pdf) with the CC data base. They pretty much matched calorie-wise for the sandwiches listed. HOWEVER, there are many sandwiches not shown in the CC database. If you go to the above link, you'll find all the sandwiches, what bread they're made with, and the condiments they include in the calorie count. You'll find the different breads and the condiments listed separately, as well. Actually, there's only a ten-calorie difference between the grain roll and the Italian roll. Don't know if this info is helpful to you, or not.
