What are some breakfast ideas that will keep you satisfied from early
morning until 12-1? I've been eating Kashi Good Friends cereal
(High Protein, High fiber), with a fruit salad every morning and am
looking for new ideas for a dense, filling breakfast.

I have heaps on my blog. Mosty based on oatmeal tho. I try to get long lasting brekkies, so avoid added sugars, without something to lower its GI. I have everything from congee, to cheesecake porridge, french toast (all of these usually under 300cal. The main part is usually 200-250 cal, with 50-100 cal for fruit/yogurt/crumpet/mini-meal/egg) to raisin toast apple sandwhich (filling, tho not LONG lasting), wraps & pitas, egg mc muffins. I like variety if you havent noticed.
The healthiest and most filling brekkies are usually from oatmeal/oatbran. I just like to add things like berries cottage cheese, other fruits, cereals, to make it more fun!@
Anything wholegrain (bread, oats etc) or proteiny (egg whites or eggs, yogurt, milk, cottage cheese) is filling, and made fun/healthy with fruit/ flavours. If you start teh day helathy and full it really helps

I've been working from 8AM-2PM and I've eaten this every day and stayed full
That totals just under 300 calories (293 calories to be exact). And it keeps me plenty full.
Plus orange juice has just as much power in waking you up as any coffee or pop, but it's much better for you.

I have a favorite breakfast that I have come up with. I love it so much that I sometimes eat it for lunch or dinner also. It easily keeps me full untill 12-1:00 and it is so easy to make...
1/2 c. Black Beans ( low sodium) 1/2 c. brown rice 3/4 c. egg beaters a little cholua sauce
I just grill up the egg beaters and put them aside, then put the black beans and rice on and grill them up with a little cholua or lizano sauce ( if you like spicy). Then put it all together. It is a little different, but it makes me feel like I am in Costa Rica or Mexico or somewhere fun. Give it a try...

Egg white omelet with spinich and mushrooms topped with chunky salsa. I add lemon pepper and season salt! mmm! Take it down with a hot cup of tea and a chocolate vitamuffin and you are ready to go!
Oh one more idea: my mom has hours where she needs to stay full for longer periods of time. she eats wheat toast with low fat cottage cheese topped with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and ground pepper. She says that it keeps her going for hours! Hope that helps.
