What are some snacks that are portable, but still filling. I am allergic to nuts and granola bars tend to just make me hungrier. Suggestions?

I take fruit with me on the go....

Apples, pears, bananas (especially filling)...

If you are on the "run", some sort of fruit that doesn't required "peeling"... you get the idea :)
I love light string cheese for when I need something filling with a bit of protein.

Have you tried the Luna Bars?  They fill me up better than granola bars-and they'er full of protein and vitamins

Take a big medjool date. So filling, so sweet!

I find baby carrots super portable.

In the morning, just throw a couple in a zip-loc bag and theyre ready to get tossed/smooshed around in your bag. Eat one, or even a couple, whenever you want!  Pretty low cal too

I've never had them go bad on me either.

I agree with apples .when you buy them you wash them, dry them, put in the fridge. then grab and go. (easy)

Try a healthy trail mix (not the ones with m&ms) or something with peanut butter on it. Like honey graham crackers with a bit of peanut better.
yogurt
Yougrt isnt really portable unless you have a freezy bag, or if you're having it on the way.
I like laughing cow light, with a carrot, or rice crackers and salsa in a little jar, or fruit, or a home-made muesli bar.
Rice cakes! I love the lil buggers.
Or popcorn.
The acid in Apples makes me hungrier, but you could always try those.
Grapefruit does well to fill me up but thats not really "on the go" snackage... as it requires a spoon and a knife and its sticky... Okay, bad idea.
BUT! If you get an orange and cut it into sections (but leave it attached at the bottom) then you can pull off sections and eat them... My sister does it when taking fruit around for her baby boy.
Low-cal muffins like Zen Bakery 220-cal (giant ~5oz) bran mufins, or their cute little 80-cal fiber cakes with like 50% of your daily fiber needs.

Love those guys!
YOu sound like me, too much fruit or carbs makes me feel even hungrier.  Do you get kind of hypoglycemic?  More protien helps me.  I like crackers or bell peppers with hummus.  Egg whites...grill/bake some chicken breasts at the start of your week and then portion it out into 3 or 4 oz bags.  THen you've got them for wraps, burritos or just plain on the run.  I'd tell you about my favorite gluten free cracker but it's made w/nuts. LOL!  I know there's other ones out there though.  How about olives?  One of my favorite snacks is chile, I get so full off of 1/2 can but that's not too portable.  Well, hope that helped a little. Cool
