Finally back
I spent a lot of time here several years ago. After losing some weight and hitting a brick wall of a plateau, I fell off the wagon.. well.. more like fell off the cliff. I gained all I had lost back, plus another 10 pounds.
I had a son a year ago, and while I lost all but the 10 pounds I gained while pregnant in the first few weeks pp, I steadily gained another 15 pounds back over the past year.
My eating habits have gotten worse and worse, and it came to a point this summer that I refused to offer my son what I was eating because I knew how unhealthy it was. I also remember watching The Biggest Loser last season, and wishing at the end that I had worked on my weight while they had. So I decided with this season, I'm going to do it, too. The only thing holding me back was a husband who refuses to eat fruit, vegetables, and whole wheat. I made the decision that I'm just going to think about my needs for once, and if he doesn't like what I'm making for dinner, he can find his own food!
What's made it really easy this time is that I'm following a meal plan from http://healthylivingtools.kraftfoods.com. I always knew there were programs like this out there, but I never knew there was a FREE one. It gives you a shopping list, you follow the recipes, and it's really simple. I HATE planning meals, so this is definitely the plan for me. The meals are SO delicious and filling, that I enjoy the food even more than the junk I was eating before! DH even likes it!
I've been following this plan for 2 weeks now, and so far I've lost 8 pounds. DH has been losing weight, too. Best of all, I feel good giving my son food off my plate.
So hello, everyone. I'm back! And this time, I'm staying.
Just wanted to say welcome back! ![]()
