Finally cracked the plataeu!!!
Two weeks went by... and every single day the scale said 184.something. Every day, 184.4, 184.6, 184.2, 184.6 - I thought I was going to lose ALL motivation and just give up... maybe I'm supposed to weigh 184.
Then, 3 days ago, 185. WHAT the *$(#*!!! I've been so well behaved, 1700 calories a day, and I'm never more than 25 off up or down. I take a hydroxycut in the morning and before lunch. I walk with my dog for 30-45 minutes EVERY night. I'm following the plan and... 185?
So yesterday, inexplicably, 183.2 came up. 183.2? OK, but I don't get excited about a single day swing really (outside the 185 freakout). But this morning... This morning was good for me. 182.0. :-) That means the plateau is DONE.
Just thought I would share. Hope y'all are doing well! Anyone else breaking through a plateau?
If your stuck on a plateau, try to stick it out for a little bit, if nothing changes try to up your calorie intake for a little while, or try to change up your exercises.
Keep it up!
I always gain a pound or so the day after I exercise at the gym. Makes me mad, but then again, muskles!
Congrats on the loss!!!
Well done for keeping on track even when the scales are stuck! When you were on the plateau were your clothes still getting looser? Have people noticed you weight loss?
I'm in a similar situation and at a similar weight. How tall are you? I'm 5' 3. I have been losing more slowly than I have when on a weight loss campaign in the past but as I have increased my exercise significantly I am putting on muscle (I hope!).
Whenever I get discouraged I think about the benefits to my health. I'm 42 so heart disease and diabetes are no longer diseases that "other people/old people" suffer. I want to be fit and active as I get older so try to focus on that when my weight stalls and I tell myself even if I never lost another kg at least I will be able to hike and cycle and enjoy myself.
Congrats on the weight loss so far.
