Finally feeling better (mentally) and getting ED to shut up!

Quote  |  Reply

Hey guys, I just thought I'd check in, since I haven't in a while, and let you all know how I'm doing.

Well, for starters, I'm really starting to see my "old self" come through - the old self who loved action movies, chatting with friends, being hyper and outgoing, wearing her quirky unique clothes, and just being myself instead of being so uptight and serious all the time. You have no idea how good it feels to just laugh and have fun for no reason. I've decided there's probobly no better feeling in the world - other than love of course.

And also, when I came home from a trip to Florida, my dad told me that I was "Looking really good" and said it looked like I had gained a little and was not looking half-dead anymore. It made me feel AMAZING, and luckilly, ED didn't stomp in and tell me he was saying "you're looking fatter."

Zeb that is fantastic! I know when I started gaining my mom commented on me "looking better" and at first I was annoyed and then when I actually thought about it I smiled and said, "your right mom I look hot!!" haaa...and I finally had my butt back haaa...

I am proud of you girl!

i'm proud, too. and envious. i too am on the long road to recovery. i remember being hyper and silly and laughing and enjoying being social and being around people. i constantly wonder if i will ever enjoy social situations again, or if i will be anti-social now for the rest of my life. i used to love going out, going to parties, chatting, joking, laughing. now when i do go out all i feel is anxious, self-concious, afraid of doing/saying something stupid. i know you guys know what i mean.

congrats girl. you're now my role model
