So what's the secret? You can't have an epiphany and not share it with the rest of the class. I would love to know how to not feel like total crapola after a work out.

I don't even know!

I've been working out regularly for a little over a month now... but for the past 2 weeks or so I've been working out just about every day just doing random dvds whenever I feel like it (I'm not trying to lose weight, per se, just change the shape of my body and be smaller). And I have only been doing it because I'm superficial and want to be Freakin HOT... but I don't know, tonight it felt GOOD to sweat! And I guess since I've been doing it a lot more, the cardio isn't as horribly strenuous as it used to be, and I'm finding that I love seeing how strong I'm getting! When I started I could BARELY do one girly pushup. And now I can do the whole 2 minutes on the 30 day shred workouts without even batting an eye! And I'm seeing results! My abs and arms are starting to look awesome! I don't know.. I'm just loving it! I've only lost maybe 8 pounds in the past month and a half but I've lost 2.5 inches in my waist! Exciting...

Btw, I have Exercise Tv On Demand... and it's GREAT! There are tons of different workouts ranging from like 10min to an hour, so you never get bored with the one you're doing and you can do just abs or just thighs or pilates, yoga, kickboxing, whatever you feel like! My favorite right now is the 30 day shred and No more trouble zones by Jillian Michaels. I also really like this 12min pilates abs one they have on there by some exercise tv trainer chick. I'm so glad I started weight training instead of doing mindless treadmill miles. It's so much more fun and so much more rewarding! :o)

Good for you!  :o)

I think many people say that they love exercising not because they actually enjoy the act of it, although many do (myself now included), but because they relish the feeling of accomplishment once it is all over.

I used to hate exercising, but I only continued because I felt good at the end because I knew I was doing my body good. But I've grown to love exercising! I can really get into it now. It really takes time to build, often because you haven't found the workout for you.

Congrats! Hope it keeps getting better!

I agree. I decided to challenge myself saturday to see if I can run 2 miles outside and guess what I did! I think I did better outside than I did inside on a tredmill. Its sooo wonderful and its such a great feeling that it motivates me even more.

Congrats on your new found love of working out. I recently started back last week and I'm almost there agian, probably will be by the end of the week. Man once those Endorphins get pumping I love it.

I think the key is finding the kind of working out that works for you.   For example, I hate running/jogging (although I still have to do it when working out in circuit training classes :( ) but I love the elptical and kick box cardio classes.  So, find what fits into your lifestyle the best, and DO IT!

I love the Exercise TV on demand.  I always start with the 10 min AM Yoga, then Yoga Sculpt, then Shred or Boost Metabolism. In the evening if I feel the urge to munch I through on on of the 10 minute workouts or a dancing one. I also HATE to exercise but I can see such a difference now. I will always have to exercise so I am having a Yoga instructor teach me properly. That will be my gift to myself when I lose my next 10 lbs. I've lost 20 already and I can't get over how I look and feel. So everybody get up and MOVE!!!!! BTW I will be 58 in 2 weeks so this a very big change. I quit smoking in January as well.

I loved lifting weights from the start. I always found it fun to challenge myself and to try increase my strength. The thing that made dread going to the gym however was cardio. That was always my weakness. Luckily for me, I found out about HIIT cardio which finally made me have a lot more fun doing it. Now I look forward to my sprinting sessions and I finally get results which drives it home even more.
