...I got my period this morning.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!! I'm sooo happy!! :):):) Haha... tears legitimately sprung to my eyes. I've worked so hard for so long to gain back the weight, and try to embrace regular eating.. and I've come so far, my eating disordered past seems like ages ago.

If you had told me 6 months ago that I'd be sitting here, BMI 20, with my period, eating chocolate ice cream (which I am- girl's gotta celebrate!) I would never have believed you.

Brilliant news evolution!

I'm insanely jealous - but in a very nice way you understand!

That is amazing! You must feel so amazing right now! Way to push through all the struggles and get to a healthy BMI.

that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO awesome!  tell me more!! lol i know were all diff and i probly wont get it back naturally, ever, ive lost it too long but congrats!!

what is ur activity level if i may ask?

Ahh.. thanks everybody! I was really starting to lose hope.

Agru- why don't you think you'll get it back!? I didn't have my period for about a year before this morning. You're such an amazing person and inspiration on this website, I hate the idea that the disordered eating in your past would rob you of your ability to have children. Don't give up hope, girl! :)

Honestly, I did this the old fashioned way- I ate 2500-3000 cals+ each and everyday and was almost completely sedenatary while I was gaining, until I reached a BMI of 20. For now, my activity level isn't crazy- I walk a bunch during the day, around to my classes and stuff, and like 2-3 times a week, I hop on the eliptical for 25 minutes. I signed up for a weekly yoga class, but uhh... haven't gone yet. So busy! I also eat lots of fat- at first just nuts/nut butter, salmon, hummus, dark chocolate, avocado. I still eat all that stuff (often!) but now also have cake, ice cream, french fries, pizza, pastries, candybars etc etc. Oh, and I take a multi vitamin religiously.

Obviously I can't guarantee any one thing helped me. I really want to emphasize though: you CAN do this. I know I make it sound easy, but believe me when I say I struggled just as much as any of you for a long, long time. If I can do it, you can do it. Good luck girls!

thats awesome, really, SOOO awesome and u made me hungry naming all those foods!! lol

im at a bmi of 19, but i do something of about 20 mins in terms of activity 5-6/wk.  i do eat fats, dont know how much, but not as freely as u mentioned! ur activity level sounds perfect! id love to be on a campus and "have" to walk places, but i have a desk job and nothing is walking distance. i dont think u should change ANY of that!!

i havent had mine in yrs so i guess, well just see...
