I know it is still early i am only 4 or 5 weeks but my husband and i had been trying for two years after our first son was born. We went through the fertility clinic using IUI as husband has "homer simpson sperm" ha ha. Anyway so happy:)

edited- i am 6 lbs heavier this time around, is there a safe way to lose a few pounds? i am still exercising as i did it with my first which made my delivery and recovery form a c-section a breeze.

thanks

Congratulations!

I have no advice on the exercise/weight loss.  I was too afraid to work out the first time around and prohibited from working out the second time around.

Congrats!

You would really need to discuss weight loss during pregnancy with your doctors but most (if not all) will recommend not to aim for weight loss at this time.

Besides, it is only 6 pounds.  That little baby growing inside of you is way more important.  Smile

oh congradulations!!!!!!!  how exciting for you!!!  best of luck!!  I would do light cardio after getting the OK from your doc; but now is not the time to lose weight.  it's most likely water from an increase in your new pregnancy hormones!

I gained 60 lbs with my first and had JUST lost it all when I got preg with my second.  I was concerned about gaining too much, because I knew I had done it before!  I did NOT diet, I just portioned out what I ate for the first month or two, until I could really see what sizes I should be eating (wish it worked well now to get more off...anyways...) and did light cardio. Plus running around after a 2 year old helped-I couldn't just sit on the couch and eat large bowls of ice cream anymore!!  I gained 17 lbs up until the last 3 weeks, when I gained 6 more-probably because I felt so large and it was so hot in August I could barely move!! (total 22).  Doc was ok with that because I started out overweight to begin.  Of course two years later I am still battling the last few pounds, plus some since I've been overweight anyway.  6lbs overweight is not that much, I wouldn't worry about losing it because you are just going to gain it back anyway!  Just keep up the exercising and don't gorge yourself and you will do just fine! Congrats!

Congratulations!!  What wonderful news!
