I am finaly "healthy weight" according to my BMI.. yeaaaaa
I really never thought I would get here. I have been stuck for a while and finaly the scale started moving again. The funny thing is my BMI says I am now healthy and everyone says that I have lost too much weight and look too thin. I still have a little belly and I have reached and reset my goals a few times and my new goal is to have nice abs. oh well... onward.
Congrats on the "healthy weight". I so want to be where you are. That is my main goal, get to a healthy weight. I am right on the edge of it and the scale will just not move for me. Keep up the great work. Good luck on the abs.
thanks... looked at your profile, the photo in the old pants is great... looks like you are well on your way. good luck and I am sure the scale will move for you.
I am getting there. But would just about cut off my right arm to no longer be considered over weight. I envy you, big time.
congrats on reaching a healthy weight :) and good luck with those abs! I'm with you tammy! Who needs 2 arms anyway
CONGRATULATIONS! That is my goal too, the healthy category. You must be so happy! I am 6lbs away from "healthy" and reading posts like yours gives us all encouragement! Thanks!
Congrats!!!
Congratulations darling!
Congrats! You're very motivating. I only have a few kilos to go until I'm no longer 'overweight' by BMI standards.
Lis 154.. I have found one way to make it a little easier to deal with those last few pounds.. go bi-weight standards...I grew up on lbs and now I work in kilos, it is much easier to think I only have to loose 2 and a half kilos to loose than 6 pounds....
I only use pounds when the weight is lost, it sounds much better to say I have lost 60 pounds than 25 kilos... just kidding, but good luck, I still think I have about 2 or 3 kilos of weight to lose before I get to my goal.. I mean 5 or 6 pounds......
thanks to all for the words of encouragement.
Congrats!
Hey Michael, congrats, but I can tell you that even without seeing or knowing you, that if you are at what the BMI calls a "healthy weight" I can understand why all of your friends say you have lost to much weight and look too thin. Be very careful with the BMI, because it would say that those ultra-thin models on the catwalks are "healthy". I'm 5'9" and at 172 where I started, the BMI says that I am overweight. CC said that I should weight 152, which honestly is insane. I do want to get down to 160 to help my running out, which would match my weight 20 years ago in high school, when I was a 5:15 miler. At 152 I would be too thin. Heck, according to the BMI I could weigh 125 pounds at my height and still be at a "healthy weight." Anyway, congratulations again, but be careful not to put to much "weight" into the BMI values.
HOORAY!!!! What a BIG MILESTONE to accomplish!!!! It sounds like all you need to do now is tone up! Congratulations on getting healthy and being in the "normal" range. Doesn't it feel great???? Yay!
Well Done!
I have 48 pesky pounds to go before I reach a "healthy range" BMI. I have gone from "severely overweight" to "moderately overweight" On the CC BMI tool, which made me happier!
I have made goals and reset them too I had a goal of 200, then 189 and now its 180...or 175 !!! But I guess I will see how I look and feel at those weights.
They're probably just jealous, which sounds cliched, but is very likely. Keep going, coz it's YOUR happiness and health that counts!
