Where do I find calorie count's food identifier number? Please help.

Hi,

I'm trying to insert foods into a recipe, but CC isn't recognising them in my recipe.  However, the food I want is listed in the calorie count data-base.

I've heard that each food in calorie count is given a number.  However I can't find this number anywhere.

Please help - this drives me nuts every time I try to do a recipe.

at the end of the web address - i think if it has a letter, just ignore it.

Hey!   found it, thank you so much.  This has been driving me nuts for ages.

Do I just insert the number as I would the text?  I'm trying to insert 240g kidney beans.......so should I insert 240g 16034.

Thank you so much.

I think you put it in [ ]

so 240g [16034]

but once you run the analyzer, click on the link you'll get on the id number, and make sure it points to the right thing.

WOO-HOO!

it worked.  Thank you so so much!

The number is located at the end of the food entry's web address. When you search for a food in the nutritional database, you can click on the one that you'd like to use, bringing you to the food's entry page. (Using the kidney bean example above would bring you to http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-beans- kidney-red-mature-seeds-i16034. The digits at the end are the numbers you would use for the recipe.
