where do you find a decent sports bra
Okay all you well endowed ladies who hang out in the fitness area of cc, spill. Where the heck do you find a decent bra that actually supports the girls? I want to be able to run and not injure myself in the process. I'm still over 200# so just picking up something thats labeled "sports bra" isn't cutting it. HELP!
I've been wondering that too - I'm not even large on top, and the ones they sell I wouldn't buy cause they are too thin/flimsy. The 2 that I have are old (think I got them in jr high or early high school! I'm 24 now) Champion sportsbras, double layer heavy cotton...they are awesome :-)
Under Armor brand ROCKS! And I wear 2 bras at the same time. It really helps.
gonna,
not sure what you are looking for in terms of money, but I recently got my very first sports bra. I really felt that I would never be able to find one that would actually fit me. I am "more than" well endowed and it was frustrating beyond belief. I got an Enell sports bra from www.ladiesonlysports.com but they are sold at many different places on line. I have to say, it is AWESOME! They are around $50 though...I measured and ordered just like it suggests at the site and I have to say, it couldn't be better if someone came to my house and fit me for it. Good luck. Hope you find what you are looking for!

I like the 'Sport Top for Larger Breasted Women' sold at Title9
www.title9.com
It's wireless, hooks in back, and really works for me. I feel comfortable jogging, doing aerobics, etc. and I'm not moving all around. Also, the bra gives a nice shape, not like a water balloon.

I'm not big on top (btw a B & A cup), and for my size, I'd recommend some of the Patagonia bras. I just got one, and it's the most comfortable and *nice looking* sports bra I've had in years! Patagonia is pricey, but their sales are fabulous, and either way they are worth the prices they charge (even their clothing is cut in ways that make me look even skinnier than I am).
Someone already mentioned Title9Sports.com, which has a huge selection of bras. Even better, they rate each one based on it's freeze factor....more "barbells" means better support, especially for larger chested women.

I bought my sports bra at titlenine - an online shop. It has been the best sports bra for me (i'm verrrry busty). Sure, I get the uniboob but hey, nothin's moving!

I wear 2 bras at a time too. My normal bra & my sports bra right over it! That seems to work for me since if I just wore a sports bra, it really wouldn't make much a difference since I am, er..."blessed" in my torso region LOL
I LOVE this site!!! Thanks for all help! As I was on the treadmill this morning, jogging, arms crossed over my chest for support (in the privacy of my own home but stilll, ya know?!) It dawned on me to ASK. I knew you wouldn't let me down. :-)
It's not a sports bra i've got but my word it really provides decent support! My nan bought it for me after i'd moaned to my mum about not being able to find any bra's to fit me! It's made by someone called "Marlon" I'm not huge but big enough to need support! (my hubby giggles as i'm on my stepper with my boobs in hand!) I can't find it sadly, but it's got no wires which is great for exercising in!
Champion makes a good sports bra for larger sizes- I'm a D
They're not particularly pretty, but they provide good coverage, and feel like armor- nuthin's going anywhere!
Mine have also lasted quite a few years with almost daily washing.

Mine is by Shock Absorber, and its pretty brilliant. The website has a really fun/interesting bit called the Bounceometer!
I am a 38DD and I recently bought 2 Champion "Action Sports" Bras. They are FABULOUS! They were recommeded by someone on this site and the Ladies Home Journal. I couldn't be more pleased with their preformance. They are a little pricey at $38 but I found mine new on EBAY and got two for $36.06 including the shipping.
I found some great sports bras at Target, I believe they are Champion brand... the logo is similar to two D's back-to-back. Either way, it's whatever the main brand of fitness clothing is at Target. The fabric is a thick poly blend, soft against the skin, no pinching or scratchiness. I managed to squeeze my girls into a meduim, and I typically wear 40DD.

I've got to second mistymom's recommendation...after experiencing them, Enell bras are the ONLY sports bras I will buy. For years, I did the wear-two-at-once thing, still with minimal results...tried out new brands...ran with my arms clamped at my sides to try and minimize the painful jiggle...until I made the investment in an Enell bra. And they are an investmest, but just like running shoes, you get what you pay for, and they are worth every penny! I haven't had a moment of pain since, or even been distracted by my chest, even during sprints or high-impact step aerobics. good luck!
enell bras are the best ( i was sooooo tempted to right breast...) but they truly are! i have 2 and they are so worht it ive had it for 2 years and they are still in great condition and do the job with total support! before i had them icoudnt even run bc my boobs hurt so bad from running witha bad sports bra...1
www.enell.com! i saw them on oprah and i highly recommend them
the last resort bra looks like the enell bra...
The enell bras sound really good. Does anyone know of stores where they are sold? You know... because buying bras online sounds like a very torturous trial-and-error process.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm thinking the same Chrysbiz. But I'm only finding them available online. Hoping I'm wrong.... Will post if I find otherwise.
http://www.enell.com/ImageMap2.html Use this site to find a store in your area. YEAAAAAA!!!! Good luck!
