Ummm...a liquor store? That is where I buy mine.

Edit: Are you in highschool? If so, I just gave you terrible advice.

lol yes, i'm in highschool. it's for a project though, so i'll just ask my mom to go pick it up for me.

i wasn't sure if it would be in liquor stores, or if it would only be in specialty asian markets or something :\

You can usually find sake at most large liquor stores. Even some smaller ones have it. I worked at a liquor store in a really small town in Kentucky during uni and they had it, too.

Oh no!  Contributing to the delinquency of a minor!

I got a chuckle out of that.  I'm assuming it's not an offense on here?  I hope not anyway!!!!

Alcohol isn't allowed on school property here.  Make sure it's okay with your school to avoid you or your mom getting into trouble.  How embarrassing!

You might just want to make a poster and show an empty bottle, although saki bottles can be a bit on the boring side.  Saki cups and dispensers are much more interesting.

Better yet.....  If there's a local Asian foods market near you, go and pick up some fun bottles of soda from China.

My supermarket sells it in the international foods section.  A lot of people use it for cooking.  (Um... It is a Japanese wine though, not Chinese.)

My gran used to make Sake. Why not try that? I think you can find recipes on the internet. I'd give you some advice but I have no idea how it's done! Good luck anyways.

She said it's for a science class. I'm sure it's school-approved.

And OP-- It's sake, not saki.

There is a big store chain (at least in Cali where I'm from) called Bev-Mo. They sell EVERY kind of wine, international sodas, foreign beers, etc. I myself buy Sake, and I recommend Bev Mo because they have a LOT of varieties to chose from. They don't just have boring bottles, but rather, lots of BEAUTIFUL bottles of sake in many sizes, colors, and price ranges.

Good luck with your project!

Sake is of Japanese origin, not Chinese. It also correctly pronounced sah-kay, NOT sah-key.

Having said that, I've never been to a liquor store! but know that you can find it at Asian groceries and sometimes larger supermarkets in the alcohol section.
