If you can find another health-conscious person who is more or less built like you and is around your age, that is great. You can share tips with that person to get to know how to lose weight with your body type (since his/her body type might be the same). You can also try different things and give each other some feedback. I think this should help with all of us losing weight, especially teenagers because I think the simple rules of calorie-counting don't work with teens as their minimum differs from the adult 1200 (female) and 1500 (male).

I will not starve myself. I cook almost everything I eat and have lots of recipes. I eat a lot of vegan meals, but I do enjoy some fish & chicken. I try to eat all organic foods. I like weight-lifting and yoga, but have curbed my lifting lately to lose the weight. I do 3-4 1-hour cardio class of varying recordings on my tv with some strength training with very light weights, just for resistance, like 3#. And I also try to get in a 30 minute yoga session 3-5 times a week in the mornings. I walk my dog almost daily for a half hour, but it's so hot here now that I am sadly less active than I'd like to be. Looking forward to the fall cooling us down a bit so I can take on jogging again.
