If you can find another health-conscious person who is more or less built like you and is around your age, that is great. You can share tips with that person to get to know how to lose weight with your body type (since his/her body type might be the same). You can also try different things and give each other some feedback. I think this should help with all of us losing weight, especially teenagers because I think the simple rules of calorie-counting don't work with teens as their minimum differs from the adult 1200 (female) and 1500 (male).

Hi - first post for me. Have been using this site for one week, and I think it's the most motivational way to calorie count.
Stats for twin search:
F, 161, medium frame, 31 (32 this month)
Target weight of 131 by New Year.
I had a glance through the posts, and there are a few close matches, but didn't find a twin. Great idea, tho!

Dang! There are so many posts, I can't look through all of them, so hopefully my twin will find me...
Female, age 35, 5,11", 158 lbs. (down from 165). I am trying to get as healthy and fit as possible. I'm staying in the 1,300 cal/day range (eating really healthy stuff), and I'm powerwalking/running 4 miles per day, 6 days/week as well as strength training for an hour 3 days/week. The weight is not coming off as fast as I expected it to, which is a little bit frustrating. This could possibly be due to the fact that a.) I quit smoking a year and a half ago, so I don't have the nicotine-induced metabolism booster to help me out this time, b.) I'm gettin' OLD and my body just doesn't "snap back" like it used to, c.) The strength training is building muscle, which weighs more than fat, or d.) A combination of all three. I'm not losing my willpower or drive, though. At least I know I'm getting healthy!
I'd love to meet someone in the same boat as me!
