Finding the worst fast food (just for fun)

Quote  |  Reply

Just for fun the other night we looked up nutrition info on most commonly sold fast foods. We looked at Calories, Fat, calories from Fat, and the dreaded Sodium levels. We also noticed what they say "Serving size" is.

We saw the P'Zone commercial from Pizza hut so looked that up while there we looked at the personal Meat lovers pizza. OMG more than a full days worth of sodium! Then we noticed serving sizes on the large pizza's

Could you imagine feeding 8 adults with a 12" pizza? Apparently that's what they call a serving. At what point sound restaurants be required to put a skull and crossbones next to it on the menu? LMAO

Apparently the marketing people feel that in order to compete these restaurants need to have the best flavor which means boos the fat and sodium levels.

We need to be very careful with our dining out decisions. The other day I ordered a salad with light dressing on the side and it arrived at my table with a pile of bacon and a few eggs.

Most of us know what is good for us but do we know what is bad and how bad it is?  So, just for fun and enlightenment I challenge you to find the worst fast food chain meal. Post its nutrition information and the most important Portion Size. This should prove interesting and give us second thoughts about ever ordering it!

What is Baskin-Robbin's 32oz Heath Shake, Alex.

Only 32oz. Jesus Christ.

Hahaha, Baskin-Robbin's doesn't even have the Nutrition Sheet listed anymore on their site, those cowards.

Also, Outback's Bloomin' Onion is ridiculous, too.

I like to go to fatcalories.com, it's a website that has complied a lot of the major fast food chains nutritional info, and you can sort the info a million different ways.

I like to check all the chains, then sort by calories high to low.   But then I get depressed when I see how many of the worst items I have actually eaten in the past.  (((shudders)))

DQ's chicken basket is the highest result of an entree!  And that's one of my favs!  And these results are strictly the entree - no fries, soda, etc (except DQ, fries are included in their basket)

I misread that as "HEALTH" shake!

HOLY MOLY:

Nathan's Seafood Sampler: 3378 Calories

Arby's Pecan Sticky Bun: 2751 Calories

Nathan's Shrimp & Chips: 2051 Calories

*LORDY!!! And we thought seafood was healthy? HA HA! Well obviously these are deep fried in the worst oil in the world and then smothered with lard and butter! ha ha! Has anyone ever eaten any of these items? How good/bad were they?

OMG, I read it as HEALTH, too and was really mad that they were trying to push something so terrible off as "healthy". *lol* I need to read closer.

;)

Laughing LOL to health. dohhh

I thought I was making a "better" choice, not exactly a healthy choice by having a plain Arby's large roast beef.  It had over 500 calories in it, so I could just as easily have eaten a Big Mac and gotten more enjoyment from it.  (Of course, getting pleasure by eating is what has landed me here today.)

Outback's Bloomin' Onion has 2,310 calories, 134 g of total fat and 241 g of total carbs.

ETA: When it existed, the similar style Awesome Blossom at Chili's was ranked Worst Appetizer in America by Men's Health Magazine in 2008 for the unusually high totals of calories and fat, with 2,710 calories, 203 grams (1,827 calories) of fat, 194 grams of carbohydrates, and 6,360 miligrams of sodium, with as much fat as 67 strips of bacon.
