First 'anti-stab' knife to go on sale in Britain...seriously??

Because people don't kill people, guns knives kill people. The first “anti-stab” knife is to go on sale in Britain, designed to work as normal in the kitchen but to be ineffective as a weapon.

I totally want some of those, then when that time of month rolls around and I stab my DH, he'll totally be okay! 

That is a little crazy. It is a stupid idea because in most cases of death caused by knives or sharp objects women stab more often than men, but men tend to slash. So according to that data this knife is an ineffective for killing husbands.

They already did this hundreds of years ago, though mainly for the purpose of avoiding assassination in royal dinner parties. We call it the butter knife.

....WTF, next they'll have bulletless guns and pepperless pepper spray.  If someone's going to kill somebody, they're going to do it regardless to the state of their kitchen knives.

I love how they're selling it for 40-50 pounds.  So apparently only people who can afford the anti-stab knife can feel protected in their kitchen.  Everyone else?  SOL.

Seriously? Banning "traditional" knives? You can market this product with fervor if you want, but why ban "traditional" knives?
