2 pounds in first 5 days? others please post your experiences in the first week?

so i got weighed again today, and i'm getting weighed again thursday. in the first 5 days of increasing calories i gained 2 pounds...that just seems like so much, as i only set out to gain 1 lb/week...yes, my goal is the same, but i'm sure by thursday i'll be another pound up...but i'm just worried that extremely rapid weight gain would be uncomfortable and set me back into bad behaviors (when youre short, you can feel every half a pound.) i'm not yet at 2500 (almost there)/day, either. is this rapid weight gain in the first week normal? or is it just water weight? granted, i'm excited (the drs at school are monitoring me for 2x/week weight checks so that ic an stay in college and not go to ip) so obviously i have major motivation to gain. i'm also getting usd to eating more than i ever have before...and discovering that i do really like food....but i'm worried that i wont be able to stop gaining weight. yes i know it's just the beginnign and i know it's all good things but....can others please post their experiences from their first week of really going at it to gain weight to recover? i'm sure this is all normal, this experience is just REALLY overwhelming!!!

thank you :)

ps - bagels...are really good.  as are sandwiches. what was i scared of for so many years.

Don't worry, this is completely normal.  On my first week of gaining I gained 3 pounds at 2500.  However after my metabolism speeded up I was gaining a pound a week at 3500.  It just takes some time for your metabolism to adjust to your higher intake.  It could also be water weight, fluctuations, food weight. Personally, my weight varies by 3 pounds from day to day.

it's fine, it's normal. don't worry. really it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things because the end goal is to gain to a healthy weight so the faster it happens the easier it will be to just move on the faster you can get on to a normal life. i know it's scary but stick in there.
