First day...

Hello, all! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Be, I am a 22 year-old mother and desperate to get my body back. I was 120 lbs pre-pregnancy and have been between 180 and 160 for the past three years.

Not only do I want to do this to be healthy, but I want to feel good about myself. Another motivational tool for me is that fact that I currently do not have the energy level to go for a "run" without having to walk half of it, etc. I'll start a work-out video and often find myself fast-fowarding through the toughest part of the video (which is usually the best part of the workout for you).

Any support that I can find here will not only make this a welcoming place, but will give me the motivation and assurances that THIS CAN BE DONE!

CURRENT STATS: 5'7     165 lbs

TARGET WEIGHT: 140 lbs (or more!!!)

Welcome to Calorie Count and to the Weight Loss forum!! Have you checked out the Weight Loss Forum Reources thread at the top of this forum? Also have you seen that we have a New Members forum which has a great thread The Unofficial Guide to Calorie Count? Good luck and let us know if there is anything we can help you with!

Welcome!  I think this program is great!  I am an over eater, and have about the same goals as you.  It really helps to log your calories, but still eat what you want.  For breakfast I have egg whites with onions and mushrooms, it feels like a big breakfast with very low calorie count.  The 100 calorie count items help too!  If I want something like popcorn or brownies  I just grab a 100 calorie pack.  It helps...  Good luck

target weight, you mean 140 or less! I'm 21, 161 just today, never been pregnent though.  I've been going for jogs for weeks now and I still need to walk most of it XD

No matter what, this CAN be done, There's a girl on my friends list, star (not sure what the name is) but she was like 314 pounds or something and got down to 120, SO YES, THIS CAN BE DONE!! Not only did she lose a heck a lotta weight, but she got down to like, really really skinny, not just "I'm comfortable in old lady clothes" but "I'm actually ... pretty thin ... " I've lost 30 pounds so far and also hope to get to 140 or less, I'm almost over the 160 hub, into the 50's then the 40's ... *sigh* long way to go.  It's most important to keep with it, and don't get discouraged at plateaus, pretty much everyone on this site knows about them and can help you out with that.

Hello Be! There is nothing wrong with Walking! Sure running is better, but walking is very beneficial, if you can do that, at least it's something! Welcome to the site and I hope you can lose what you need to and feel good! =)
