Well, the first semester of college (or high school) is over for the majority of us. It couldn't have come too soon and i'm already getting used to having too much time on my hands. Darn - I hate when that happens.
Anyways, have any of you gotten your grades back yet? All of my grades have been posted by my professors and although not "official" until the 20th, I have managed to achieve a 4.0.. ;)
I'm quite happy... I managed to scrape by with a 90.5% in my World History class after making a 100% on the final (which counted as 30%)! I was pretty confident in my other 4 courses, but still had doubts about one or two. Anyways, i'm most surely planning on celebrating - any excuse to eat a little unhealthy food and party, right?! I admit, I may go a little overboard sometimes, but I like to "enjoy" myself now and again.
What are your fall 2007 grades like? Go do something to reward yourself for the hard work! Good luck to those of you who have yet to find out. :)
I wish a 90% here was an A
I got a 90% over-all in my bio class which is a B here.... gRRRR
well, its last semester grades for me (whew finally done after 5 long years of uni), and I got my first A+ in one of my class, nearly cried when i saw that! highest mark in the class, i even beat the few graduate students there (3 of my 4 courses were grad/undergrad mixed), one of whom was my TA for a third year class i had!
The other courses went smoothly as well (A, B+, and one unknown mark), soooo i expect my fina GPA to be 3.2X range out of 4.33)
I dont really have any celebration plans either -- lol i treat myself quite often as it is so ;-)
I'm a junior in college and so far have maintained a 4.0 (crossing fingers- I'm still waiting on the grade for one class). It becomes a challenge to get all A's after you have a 4.0, cause you don't wanna lose it. Good luck!
kindoflikesarah - You sure should! All of those hard, late-night cram sessions, occassional stress, and and neve-wracking assessments over the past many weeks need to be rewarded. ;)
moodymomma1977 - Ahh yes, I am fortunate to be able to recieve an A for my 90%. I have heard that some areas around the country require up to as high as a 93 or 94% for such. Doesn't really make too much sense to me, but I guess there are a lot of things that don't make sense. :/
bluegirl - I know what you mean... hehe.
therealbetsy - That is a scary load. Your post reminded me why I didn't major in anything having to do with science and I am quite content with that decision. :p
anaxandra - Sure is. I can imagine that it also becomes harder and harder as the classes also get higher level and more stress to keep the good marks. :( All well, at least everyone is in the same boat.
terroristcakes - Ahh, nerd or not, that's great news. I don't think I would survive a Theatre History class. In fact. I do enjoy certain histories, but others bore me to death (art history, theatre, etc.).
Aw, congratulations!
If you asked me about that on my previous college, I'd proudly say my average was above 90%..
But now it's really really bad, I probably won't pass half classes this year
Yet on the other hand, I switched colleges for a challenge.. Hopefully I won't need 2 years to complete every year!
Good job on all those 4.0's! Who knew that us calorie counters were so intelligent? Oh wait, of course we are.
At my school A minuses don't count as 4 points, they count as 3.8, so getting a 4.0 is pretty tricky. That being said, I have to maintain a 3.25 in order to keep my academic scholarship, so I'm assuming/praying that my grades will be along those lines.
wow...i was all excited because i thought i did so well and i wanted to share with everyone, but after all these 4.0's i feel ashamed...but way to go everyone! as far as i am familiar with, 4.0 is perfect. good job to everyone, you're obviously working very hard
good luck next semester. maybe my motivation to work harder will be so that i can join the 4.0 club, hah.
dont be silly.. no need to compare. aside from the fact that we're all in different schools and different academic programs, it just plain doesn't matter who got a 4.0 and who got a 2.5.. just so long as you passed your classes!
i mean, i know i've gotten all a's in college so far, but my friends who are engineering majors at Berkeley work ten times harder than me to pull 2.5s and 3.0s. Grades are silly anyway.. as long as you did your best, you should feel damn proud.
:)
4.0 GPA!
and 5.4 scaled average. (b/c preAP classes)
My 3.0 doesn'y look great up here, but it actually is a pretty good mark at my school. To get 4.0 here you need something like an average of 95%, while in my sister's school you only need like 85.
