my first time in this site

Hello everyone. My name is Rachel and I'm 24 yo.

I've been working in an office setting for more than 2 years

and aside from the work stress I've been an emotional eater for several years now.

Despite my low self-esteem I finally mustered up enough courage to sign up at the nearest fitness club. But as I would have guessed it, it's been 6 months and I haven't even started "warming up"! Lol. I was 86kg at my heaviest (and i'm 5'1) and was able to get to 64kg 2 years ago. But now my old weight is back.

It's both funny and sad for me.

I live away from my family so I only have myself to motivate me... and I found  this website by chance as I was browsing a while ago after I got out of the bed. It's Saturday and I just can't bring myself to even take a walk in the beautiful tree-lined path outside.

I really hope to meet some new friends here who can help me with my goals..

Hello Rachel!

I'm MB  and I'm an emotional eater too. I started on Jan 1 and have lost 17 pounds! I've never lost weight so easily or quickly. I'm also much more emotionally stable. Normally when I diet I am a grouchy mess!

Please feel free to add me. I'd love to make a new friend.

Hi Rachel!!!

I'm so proud of you!!  We all have to start SOMEWHERE!!  It took me a couple of months of lurking around before I had the GUTS to finaly sign up as a member.  You can do it!  There are soooo many great people here (with the exception of the occasional ass-holes here and there)  but just ignore the ass-holes  ;)

Welcome to CC!!!  you've taken your first step to a healthier lifestyle!!!

Welcome Rachel!

I'm glad you found the site.  Browse around and check out all the tools CC offers and the advice in the library and of course from the rest of us people out there.  CC has helped me lose quite a bit of weight so far and I hope it does the same for you.

If you need help getting started you might want to try joining one of the challenges in the Games & Challenges forums.  There are always new ones popping up and many of them have you checking in and trying to meet exercise goals or food intake goals, etc.  I know they keep me from going too long between workouts...which for me can be easy to "forget" to do.

If you ever need help, suggestions, or just an ear....just look me up.  Smile  Hope to see you around!!
