When you first became veg, did you lose?
Though, if you've been veg your whole life, this would not make any difference.
I know a lot of people who, when they first went vegetarian, they lost quite a bit of weight. I was the opposite. I became vegetarian at age 14, and gradually gained around 20-25 lbs in 2 years. Not sure why that is...maybe I was eating more in order to fill myself up.
It hasn't made a difference really. The reason I gained weight though was because of poor eating habits and lack of exercise. I do think though that if I hadn't become vege that I would weigh more.
My weight loss stalled when I became vegetarian a few months ago. Lean meats like chicken and tuna always filled me up with minimal calories. After I stopped eating those, it was a bit of a challenge to find a filling protein source that was also low calorie. Also, my town isn't very veggie friendly, so if I went out to eat, it was either salad, which gets old VERY quickly, or some sort of pasta or pizza dish.
I'm losing again now that I've found my footing and sorted myself out, but the transition was a little iffy.

Most people would expect to get taller and heavier between the ages of 14 and 16.... That's pretty normal. Foods that qualify as vegetarian are not necessarily healthier or lower in calories than any other foods. You still have to be selective and watch the portion-sizes.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
