Hi,
I am Pen and live in North Devon England. I have been on this site for a week now and finding it very helpful. two years ago I had lost alot of weight due to family problems. But have found in the last 9 months that my weight has shot up as I am happy and settled now. However I am overweight and feeling problems with my knees.
I have re joined the gym, which last year I did not go to, and I am finding it helpful to "see" the calories used on the machines. I have lost a little weight since joining the gym, but the weight did "go" on and now I am back to what I was in January. (still overweight)
I work with horses 2 days a week and with the gym I hope to get fit and loose the excess weight I have gained.
Well that's about it, I should say that I am 54 yrs old, and in a new and happy relationship.I have 3 adult children and 3 grand children.
Pen
Thats my favourite part of exercise machines, seeing the number of calories burned. It helps make more sense in my head. If you're like me and lose track easily, try being very honest with the actual number of calories you eat/ portion size in the food log, it's really working for me. Goodluck with the weight loss!
p.s your lucky you get to work with horses, I just sold mine three days ago :(
