For the new year, I'd really like to start working out on a daily basis. Or maybe 6 days per week. But still I want it to be constant, and I want to stick with it.
The most excersise I've done is grade 10 gym class stuff, nothing too hard.
Everytime I try to jog for 40-45 minutes I get tired usually 20-25 minutes into it and stop even though I know I could keep going if I tried.
Now I was thinking maybe somthing like this:
5-10 minutes stretching / warming up
45 minute jog (after i get comfertable with that, move it up to an hour)
then sets of pushups, crunches, situps, ect. I don't know how many I would do though. And then some weight lifting.
I'm 16, female, 5'6 and 125 pounds. Been on a starving self for 2-3 days, then binging and purging cycle sine about April. I really want to be healthy again and made a meal plan and now I need an excersise plan.
Any suggestions would be great, thanks alot!
And also, has anyone taken (or is taking) spin classes? I've heard alot about them but would be worried about working out in public. Also I don't have much information on them. Thanks again. =)
It's great that you want to start working out more! I would recommend taking it light from the beginning. If you think 20-25 minutes of jogging is all you can do, go from there. Increase a few minutes each week. As far as weights, I would try to get a workout buddy. One idea for pushups that I've heard is to do like 10 before bed every night, then increase to 15 the next month.. just a suggestion. Crunches aren't my favorite thing so I only do them about once a week (if that lol).
I took spin classes at college this year and LOVED them! People say they are a killer but you honestly get out of them what you put into them. If you want to take it easy, you can. If you want to give 110%, you will come out nice and sweaty (like me haha)!
I wouldn't worry about working out in public, a lot of people are so worried about themselves they probably wouldn't even notice you. If it makes you feel better, just find a workout buddy! Or you could try to do some stuff at your house for a few weeks then hit the gym! Good luck.
