Hello all!
I quit smoking about four months ago and lasted 29 days. I started back up, and was smoking more than ever. It has now been five days since I smoked last. I had asthma as a child, but it hasn't bothered me in over 20 years. I had really bad allergies this season, then got bronchitis, and got sent to the ER twice this week with early pneumonia due to a virus. Not that smoking caused this, but I am certain that without it, it would not have gotten so bad. Now, I can't smoke because it would be physically painful! So really, my body is physically forcing me to quit because I can't take a deep breath until this goes away! I have absolutely no desire to smoke, and am confident that I will be able to keep it up this time.
I can't wait to see how great my lungs feel once this pneumonia/bronchitis/asthma crap goes away!
Hi becker!
Awesome for you! My husband and I quit smoking on September 1st. We had one slip but we both realize that one smoke will lead to another. Not only that, when I had that cigarette it reminded me of how much it s*cks! I am having the same confidence as you are. I literally couldn't stop coughing-it kept me up all night. At 42, I should be out there being active. Now I can.
Here's to us and our successes!
