Five Pounds in Five Weeks - Be Five Pounds Lighter by July 11th
We started this at work, where we're all suffering from "Hacker Spread". Thank you, IT Industry, for making it possible to 1) make a living sitting on my behind all day and 2) afford to eat lunch out every day.
I'm going to be honest. I'm 5'8" tall and I weigh 208 pounds. My coworker is 5'6" tall and weighs 187 lbs. Since we've both got a lot of weight to loose, we've broken it in to 5 pound chunks. 5 pounds isn't nearly as inimidating as 65 pounds.
This is our second round of the 5 pound challenge and I thought maybe some of you other folks would like to join us. Our goal is to be five pounds lighter by July 11th.
We don't care if you need to loose 200 pounds or 10. You're welcome to join in our little challenge.
"Weigh ins" will be on Thursdays, so that we can either commiserate or rejoice together. All you have to do is weigh yourself on the same scale every Thursday and keep up the new healthy lifestyle.

I'm 5'10". I would like to be 150-160. Before I had my 3 kids, I got down to 165 and looked awesome, but I still had a tummy that I want to go away.

I too have a desk job and have tried to get up every once in awhile to move around. All I need is a bit of motivation.

Losing 5lbs look like a little but it's all about being consistent and losing a next 5lbs.

I would love to do that but need some tips been stuck at 150 for a month now starting to make me get discouraged. I am 5 '3'' had baby four months ago can't get this last twenty pounds off.

Hello. I am new to this too, and am very excited about this challenge. I am 5'8 and weigh 188, my goal is 165... So small steps are better, but its hard when you dont have someone to loose with, so this is perfect! Not sure how to mark this so I can come back next Thursday to weigh in? ![]()
