Five Pounds in Five Weeks - Be Five Pounds Lighter by July 11th

We started this at work, where we're all suffering from "Hacker Spread". Thank you, IT Industry, for making it possible to 1) make a living sitting on my behind all day and 2) afford to eat lunch out every day.

I'm going to be honest. I'm 5'8" tall and I weigh 208 pounds. My coworker is 5'6" tall and weighs 187 lbs. Since we've both got a lot of weight to loose, we've broken it in to 5 pound chunks. 5 pounds isn't nearly as inimidating as 65 pounds.

This is our second round of the 5 pound challenge and I thought maybe some of you other folks would like to join us. Our goal is to be five pounds lighter by July 11th.

We don't care if you need to loose 200 pounds or 10. You're welcome to join in our little challenge.

"Weigh ins" will be on Thursdays, so that we can either commiserate or rejoice together. All you have to do is weigh yourself on the same scale every Thursday and keep up the new healthy lifestyle.

today weighed in the same... 137 goal for July 11 is 132. I've been really sticking to this all week BUT I am going out to dinner tonight.  I will try to be good and make a good choice!

Thanks cuddleaddict for the B-day Wishes!!! I had a great b-day I allowed myself to cheat a little this wkend though, so this week's weigh in might be a little higher than last week. Hopefully all my other efforts will make up for my weekend of drinking and eating!

Know what's weird? I was looking at my weight and measurements from January, and I have lost 4 pounds since January. However, my waist has gone up an inch even though all my other measurements have gone down. Weird, huh? Maybe I was just bloated today or something. Anyway, next stop: July 11!

 

 

 

 

Love to join...I have plateaud the last 2 weeks, stuck on 119 lbs, and have not been consistent with my excercise.  This will be a great challenge for me.  My goal is to atleast loose 1-2 lbs a week.  Count me in.

5'2" medium frame

Start weight; 180

Short term goal weight by July 11; 118 pound

Goal weight; 110 by August sometime

Congrats to all those doing a good job.  With the meals i am eating, well there was a lil bit of cheating but i am a strong will person and finally decided that i will no longer let my feelings of FOOD get over me.

My weight today is 157.6lbs

i feel great!!!

An example of my meals in a day:

B: 2 toast, 1 tbsp peanut buttter, grapefuit

L: 3 ounce tuna, salad(raw a variety in any ammount), banana(large)

D: lean meat, with stemed vegetables ( a variety in any ammount)

S: 1 medium apple, nuts(1/2 cup
