How do you fix you Metabolism?

Ok, so how do you fix it?

everyone has been saying eat 2500 calories but they have not gaven a reason as too why so many dont you think 2000 would be sufficient enough or no?

You can find BMRs anywhere on the Internet that may or may not tell you 3000. Honestly it's different for everyone, though. Chances are that your metabolism isn't so great right now so it may not take that much, but when you start eating more and consistently, you'll probably need to raise it way more than 3000. Just take it a day at a time, and keep upping the calories when you stop gaining at a particular calorie level. 

As to gettingingoodshape's response, that's sounds like great advice for someone trying to lose weight. But you need carbs as a part of a balanced, healthy diet! Carbs should be around 60% of your diet, not 30%. Protein and fat should each be somewhere around 20%. This is not specifically for weight-gainers (you just have to eat more of the same ratios), it's for anyone who wants balance and is not on a specific diet to lose weight. Also things like trans fats clog arteries, but are okay on rare occasion. It's healthy to treat yourself every once in a while, just don't do it all the time. And again, sweet drinks and sodas should be avoided by people trying to lose weight because they are not filling and add calories to your diet. It's important to eat healthy foods because they give you the vitamins and nutrients needed to stay healthy, but if you're having sodas in addition to healthy food and are trying to gain weight, they're actually helpful.
