Flaking hands

Quote  |  Reply
Now, i don't know why this is happening, but my hands have gone flaky and dry.

I have been doing a lot of washing up recently - at least once a day, usually a lot more. =D
Any chance its related to this?

Or is it likely to be something to do with nutrition? I drink plenty of water!

Not sure if it's caused by nutrition. Do you live in a dry climate? I live in AZ, so my skin gets very dry if I don't use hand lotion every time I wash them.
no i live in england!
and i've never had flaky hands before =(
hmmm...sorry I can't be much help.:) I found this at Mayo Clinic. Maybe it'll help you determine the cause. Good luck!!:)

Try a milder hand soap, and apply lotion to your hands on a daily basis.  If you lift weights, make sure you apply chalk to your hands or wear lifting gloves.
ooo, that was quite helpful actually.
thanks a lot. i think im gonna go with the washing up syndrome!x
