Flat Stomach

Quote  |  Reply

The Title says It all. I had my son almost a year ago. and I've been dying to lose this baby fat.

Any Advice?

I do about 100 sit ups about every day. And I see a bit progress. But as I go on doing more; I don't see progress..

You advice will be really helpful. =]

if you aren't pushing yourself constantly, you will stop seeing results. You have to add more weights to your sit ups to continue toning your muscles (i use a machine, but i'm sure there is a way to do this with free weights also)
Get rid of the fat before you work the muslce.  So run...
giggle puppy is wright. you have fantastic abs from all the sit ups the problem in that there is fat from having a baby over it. so to get rid of it you need to do cardio. and as the fat go's away you will start to see the muslces you have been working on.
Sit ups will do the trick, but I agree with everyone else that you need to do cardio.  I do 120 crunches on my ab lounge everyday and look at my pics, no abs showing yet :)  Maybe try a workout video where you do different exercises to work the abs, too.  I have the Taebo with Billy Banks "Ab and Butt Buster" haha and it's fun and I feel like I work all of my abs, not just the lower ones.  Anyway, good luck!

Amazinggg ab workout. It tones the entire stomach, whereas crunches really just focus on the upper abs.

I would add that after having babies I really had to work on the lower abs in order to strengthen and protect my lower back.  I guess it makes sense that the lower abs are stretched the most during pregnancy.  The video twentysevenjune mentioned looks to have some great stuff for lower ab work.  Best of luck!
