flat tummy after baby and c-section

Quote  |  Reply

Has anyone out there had any luck getting a flat tummy after a baby and c-section.  I've lost some weight so far, and I weigh less now than before I conceived my first baby, but it seems like I still have all this extra skin on my tummy and a "mushroom like" (sorry it sounds gross) area over the c-section scar.  Does this ever go away?  My baby is 1 1/2 now...

Hi there.  I have a similar belly issue, and my "baby" is 3!  I had lost all my pregnancy weight about 2 years ago, though, and my belly looked much better then.  My weight has creeped back up, so I am hopeful that it will look better when I lose back down to where I was.  I think it's normal that the skin got stretched out from your pregnancy.  I think that improves with time too, but seeing as I haven't kept my weight consistently down, I can't really say for sure.

Oh I should add, I was doing Pilates quite a bit at the time when I lost weight before.  That really focuses on the abs, so maybe it had just as much to do with that as the general weight loss.

I've also known someone who had a tummy tuck because she was never satisfied with the saggy skin.  She didn't have a c-section, but just the stretched out skin from pregnancy.  I think it varies.  Good luck!

I had a c-section lost all the weight and still no flat tummy.  My tummy was never bare midriff quality before but....

Since then I gained the weight back and am trying to go down again.

I would love any suggestions on removing the flab -- and those darn stretch marks!!
