Hey Everyone,

I've been going to Starbucks and Second Cup for years now and always gotten the same thing... coffee.. black. Anyhow today I saw they had a flavored coffee called "Butter Pecan" and I got it. Now are there any extra calories (compaired to a normal cup of coffee) and I should know about?
Its a good cup of coffee but not worth it if its got alot of extra calories in it!

Thanks!

Melissa

P.S. It didn't have any whipped topping, or anything different than a normal coffee (No shots of flavor)

i wouldn't worry about a different coffee flavor. if it's not the flavor shots or anything--i'd just say it's a normal cup of coffee.  which is completely negligible calories anyways
Hey Angelpets,

(Btw, looked at your profile, AMAZING transformation, you go girl!!)

Flavored coffee BEANS have no more calories than regular beans. It's the sugary syrups they add to the coffee you have to watch out for - on a side note, Starbucks now has three SUGAR FREE syrups that I tend to use in my regular coffee now and then - Hazelnut, Vanilla, and my favorite, Cinnomon Dulce. YUM!!

As a coffee addict myself, I know where you are coming from - it's one of my few daily indulgences! :-)

I forget which company makes them, but there are flavoured packs that go into your coffee.  They are made with Splenda, so are next to no calories.

Might be a good alternative to just add these into your regular coffee.

But as always said, I don't think they are that many more calories.  You could always ask the store if they have calorie information, or email their head office =)
It depends, it is the coffee beans themselves that are flavoured  then the additional calories may only amount to 5-6.

However, if it is some type of cappuccino flavour fancy shmancy thing, the flavouring could add up 100 calories to your drink depending on if they use cream and sugar.
