I have an link to an article that I would like to post but I don't kNow how to and am not sure if its allowed. If someone can tell me how that would be great. I have purchased some but have not started taking it yet. But from what I have read it has many other advantages as well. Flax seed oil is considered a "good fat".
Part of the article said that adding flaxseed oil to foods, or taken with a meal, creates a feeling of satiation (feeling of fullness and satisfaction following a meal). The essential fats in flaxseed oil cause the stomach to retain food for a longer period of time as compared to no-fat or low-fat foods. The addition of flax oil to food also results in a gradual release of this combination into the small intestine. The physiological effect is a slow, sustained rise in blood sugar, then a prolonged plateau of blood sugar. Ultimately, the blood sugar undergoes a slow and gradual drop. You will experience a corresponding feeling of prolonged energy, stamina and satisfaction with no immediate hunger pangs following the meal. The net result is that you feel fuller, longer, and actually eat fewer calories in the long run than if you would have chosen a no-fat, low-fat diet.

I called my local compounding pharmacy and asked for a list of local docs they worked with. Honestly that didn't get me the best physician, the one I picked turned out to be a kook, but it's a place to start. You might have better luck than I did! I recently found another, a naturopath, just through asking around. It's tough, I admit. At least the info is starting to get out there.
You can try googling bio identical HRT and your city name and see if you get any hits. I just did that and found this place that would seem to do it wherever you live: http://www.womentowomen.com/index.asp

more flax ideas (from a flyer I just got in the mail to buy a flax grinder and seeds like this one: http://www.drdavidwilliams.com/c/flax.asp)
- Add ground flaxseeds to yogurt
- Sprinkle ground flaxseeds on any salad
- Mix ground flaxseeds into any salad dressing
- Spread your favorite nut butter on a slice of whole wheat toast or crackers and apply a dusting of the ground flaxseeds
- Blend ground flaxseeds into your favorite smoothie
- Sprinkle ground flaxseeds onto your morning cereal
- Add ground flaxseeds to a bowl of cottage cheese and berries
- mix ground flaxseeds into a tuna salad or salmon salad
- top a pita point with hummus and ground flaxseeds
- Add ground flaxseed to any muffin or bread recipe
- Promotes healthy cholesterol levels
- aids healthy digestion
- promotes healthy skin
- helps support your immune system
- Great source of hard to get Omega 3's (good for your heart and your brain)
- contains soluble and insoluble fiber (in seeds only, not in oil). 1/4 cup of flaxseeds has 10 grams of fiber.
- Good source of lignans (support your immune system and cellular health). Flaxseeds are one of the richest sources of lignans you can find. The lignans found in flax are low glycemic carbs, so they slow the absorption of sugar in your IT, so it helps normalize blood sugar levels.
MIX FLAX SEEDS WITH WATER TO SOFTEN SEED COAT. KEEP REFRIGERATED. ADD A TEASPOON WITH OATMEAL AT BREAKFAST. YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE WATER BECOMES "OILY" BUT IT DOES NO HARM.
