I was wondering because mine is set to 2500 and I only consume about 1200-1500 calories a day (+/- 200).
What's your eat meter set to and how well do you follow it?
My eat meter is 1784 and I do follow it; it's usually quite accurate. However, when I first started using it it was set to 2200 and I never went that high. I reset it from 'moderate activity' to 'light activity' and ever since then it's been perfect.

Before I changed it, I never did much more than 2000 and now I am working to keep as close to 1750 as possible. Occassionally I hit 1800 but I do some kind of activity almost everyday, I have a calorie deficit of about 800-1200 a day.
